It was reported today that Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Willie Brown, passed away at 78. As of this writing, the cause of death is unknown. Playing his college ball at Grambling, Brown was undrafted in 1963 and would try out for the Houston Oilers of the AFL. He didn’t make the team, but would with the Denver Broncos, where he would become a starting Cornerback as a rookie. Arguably, it ended three days before in Game 4, when he had to leave the game when his knee buckled and his shoulder appeared to give out. Days after Brian McCann announced his retirement from Major League Baseball, we have another former World Series Champion who has announced that he is hanging up the cleats. David Freese announced on Twitter today that he will be retiring from Baseball after an 11-year career. The American Hockey League Hall of Fame announced the four new members of their Hall of Fame, which will comprise the Class of 2020. The new members are: Robbie Ftorek: Ftorek debuted on the pro level with the Virginia Wings where he played two years (1972-73 & 1973-74) and scored 125 Points.
