Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  We have a new one to unveil today, that of the Seattle Seahawks.  The Seahawks were one of two Expansion Teams in 1976 (the other was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and while they fielded playoff teams in the 1980s and 1990, it was not until the 2000s until they made it to the Super Bowl.  The Seahawks made it to the Super Bowl in 2005, but lost to Pittsburgh. They would win in…

RIP: Paul Hornung

2020 has been an awful year for legendary Green Bay Packers. Hall of Fame Back, Paul Hornung passed away at age 84.  He was battling dementia.  This year, former Packers stars, Bart Starr, Willie Davis and Herb Adderley all have died. Hornung was a superstar at Notre Dame where he won the Heisman Trophy in a year where the All-American led the Fighting Irish on Passing, Rushing, Scoring, Kickoffs, Punts and Punt Returns.  The Green Bay Packers had the First Overall Pick in the 1957 Draft, and they used it on Hornung,  Hornung would be part of a transformation of fortunes for the…

Following his playing career, Heinsohn called play-by-play for WKBG, but that lasted only three years as he took over as Boston’s Head Coach in…

Chalk can be traced back thousands of years, and have…
2020 took another star football player as former Green Bay Packers Cornerback, Herb Adderley, passed away at the age of 81. A Halfback at Michigan State, Adderley was taken by Green Bay with the 12thOverall Pick in the 1961 Draft.  With Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor in tow, Packers Head Coach, Vince Lombardi, moved Adderley to Cornerback late in his rookie season.  It turned out to be one of the best position switches in athletic history. From 1962 to 1967, Adderley was chosen for five Pro Bowls, four First Team All-Pros, and was considered to be one of the elite Corners in…
