Another huge day has happened as the Modern Baseball Era Committee has announced that Marvin Miller and Ted Simmons will be joining the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Miller spent 17 years (1966-82) as the Executive Director of the Major League Baseball Players Association. Under his guidance, players salaries increased by more than ten times. The International Boxing Hall of Fame has announced their 31stClass, which comprises three women who become the first females to enter the Hall. The Class of 2020 will go in officially on June 14 in Canastota, New York. Three Modern Category Male Boxers were selected. Bernard Hopkins:  One of the most successful boxers of all-time, Hopkins is the likely headliner of this group.  Competing from 1988 to 2016, “The Executioner” was the former Undisputed Middleweight Champion and was also a former Lineal Light Heavyweight Champion. He retired with a record of 55-8-2-2 with 32 Knockouts. Without further ado, they are: Steve Atwater:  Safety: Denver Broncos 1989-98, New York Jets 1999.  This is Atwater’s ninth straight time as a Semi-Finalist, and he was a Finalist last year.   Carl Banks:  Linebacker: New York Giants 1984-92, Washington Redskins 1993, Cleveland Browns 1994-95.  This is the first time that Banks has been named as a Semi-Finalist, despite being eligible since 2001.  Banks won two Super Bowls with the Giants.
