The city of Boston lost a legend today as Tom Heinsohn, whose association with the Celtics lasted over 60 years, passed away at the age of 86. Debuting for the Celtics in 1956, Heinsohn played at Power Forward for nine seasons, going to six All-Star Games and averaging 18.6 Points and 8.8 Rebounds per Game. Heinsohn was also named the Rookie of the Year, was a four-time All-NBA Selection and helped lead the Celtics to eight Championships. The National Toy Hall of Fame has announced the Class of 2020, inducting Baby Nancy, Chalk and Jenga.   Chosen by a panel of experts, these three toys beat out the other nine Finalists, Bingo, Breyer Horses, Lite-Brote, Masters of the Universe, My Little Pony, Risk, Sorry!, Tamagotchi and Yahtzee. The first ever doll from Shindana Toys, Baby Nancy was the first baby black doll to look authentically black. The Black College Hall of Fame has announced the 25 Finalists for the Class of 2020, which includes 22 former players and three coaches. This group was selected from a field over 150 candidates by an 11-member Selection Committee. Players: Joe “747” Adams, Quarterback, Tennessee State, 1977-80: Adams threw for 8,653 Yards for the Tigers and would play three years in the Canadian Football League for Saskatchewan, Toronto and Ottawa. Coy Bacon, Defensive Lineman, Jackson State, 1964-67:  Already a Hall of Famer at Jackson State, Bacon played 14 years in the NFL where he was a three-time Pro Bowl Selection.  He played for…

Regular visitors of Notinhalloffame.com know that we are slowly working on the top 50 of every major team in the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB.  Once that is done, we intend to look at how each team honor their past players, coaches and executives.
