The Philadelphia Eagles have announced that there will be two new members of their franchise’s Hall of Fame.
Brian Westbrook and Maxie Baughan will enter the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame officially on October 19, the date of Philly’s home game against divisional rival, the New York Giants.
Westbrook would spend eight of his nine NFL seasons with the Eagles, where he helped the team make playoff after playoff. He would finish with 5,995 Rushing Yards, 3,790 Receiving Yards with 66 Touchdowns as an Eagle. This would be framed by two Pro Bowl appearances.
Maxie Baughan spend the first half of his twelve season career with Philadelphia. Baughan earned five Pro Bowls and one First Team All Pro nod as an Eagle. The Linebacker started all 80 of his Games as an Eagle.

Now both the Baseball and Football Hall of Fame ceremonies are on the horizon, but it was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the controversy that come with it that began this site in the first place.
In the past, along with regular contributors, Sphensiscus and DDT, we have done projections as to who we thought would be the nominees for the Hall, but at the suggestion of Spheniscus, we put together a dream ballot of the fifteen acts, we want to see nominated and why.

RIP: Billy Pierce

We can’t lie to you. The passing of former Major League Baseball Pitcher, Billy Pierce, completely slipped by us and we thank regular contributor, D.K. Orlandini for alerting us to his passing on July 31 at the age of 88.
Pierce would spend the majority of his eighteen year career with the Chicago White Sox, where the southpaw would make all of his seven All Star Teams and was a two time 20 Game winner. His best season would be in 1955 where he would lead the American League in Earned Run Average, FIP, ERA+, WHIP and SO/BB. In other years he would lead the AL in Wins (1957) and in Strikeouts (1953).
The Pitcher would complete his career with a record of 211 and 169, 1,999 Strikeouts and a bWAR of 53.1.
The highest that Pierce has ever received in Hall of Fame voting was a miniscule 1.9 percent in 1971, however as recent as 2014, he was on the Hall of Fame Veteran’s ballot, indicating he may yet have a shot one day. We here at Notinhalloffame.com have him ranked at #64 on our latest baseball list.

Chris Drury headlines U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class for 2016

The United States Hockey Hall of Fame has announced the next four members of their institution.
The Class of 2016 will comprise:
Chris Drury
Drury was a former NHL Centre who scored over 600 Points and was a member of the 2001 Stanley Cup Championship Team with the Colorado Avalanche. Drury would win the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie in 1999, the year after he would capture the Hobey Baker Award as MVP in NCAA. Internationally, he would represent the United States in three Olympics (winning two Silver Medals), the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and in three World Championships.
Mathieu Schneider
A twenty-one year veteran of the NHL, the Defenceman had 743 Points in 1,289 Games and was a member of the 1993 Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadians. Schneider would be a part of the 1996 World Cup of Hockey Team and was a three time Olympian.
Angela Ruggerio
A fifteen year member of the U.S. National Women’s Hockey Team, Ruggerio suited up for more than 250 Games internationally where the Defenceman was part of four World Championships and an Olympic Gold Medal.
Ron DeGregorio
The President of U.S.A. Hockey for the last dozen years and the recipient of the Lester Patrick award in 2003.
The ceremony will official take place in Boston on December 17 of this year.
