As you have noticed over the last two weeks, we have unveiled a list of potential Hockey Hall of Fame possibilities that are eligible in 2014 & 2015. As the Hall only requires three years once retired to become eligible, we thought we would add a section of players who are “To be Determined”

What we mean is a collection of players who are older and still playing professional hockey either in North America or Europe. Once they have finished their careers, we will slot them into their respective year of eligibility.

This group includes:

Alexei Yashin
Brian Rolston
Chris Pronger
Dan Boyle
Daniel Alfredsson
Ed Jovanovski
Evgeni Nabokov
Jaromir Jagr
Jason Arnott
Jose Theodore

Marty Turco
Milan Hejduk
Miroslav Satan
Nikolai Khabibulin
Patrik Elias
Ray Whitney
Roman Hamrlik

The world of boxing lost a major star as Hector “Macho” Camacho passed away today. The former four time champion was shot days ago in the face which turned out to be fatal.

Camacho fought virtually everyone of note in the lighter divisions. His biggest win was a complete dismantling of Sugar Ray Leonard that put the latter in permanent retirement. Camacho also fought Felix Trinidad, Oscar De La Hoya and Julio Cesar Chavez and was had his last fight in 2010, which is why he is not yet eligible for the Boxing Hall of Fame, which requires a boxer to be at least retired for five years.

It is a sad ending for a great legend. Hector Camacho fought his way through the streets, could never escape them. The flashy competitor likely never wanted to.

Many (including the Committee Chairman) have made a case for Paul Henderson for the Hockey Hall of Fame. Henderson did get the call today; although it was for the International Ice Hockey Hall of Fame; which like the better known Hall, is also located in Toronto, Canada.

Paul Henderson scored the most important goal in Canadian Hockey history when he scored the game winner in the Summit Series in 1972 between the Canadians and the Soviet Union. Henderson’s performance in the entire series was a stellar one, and easily the best of his career; and his induction is based on this series.

He is joined by Sweden’s Peter Forsberg. He was a major force for his native country in multiple International tournaments and is a member of the elusive ‘Triple Gold Club” reserved for those who won an Olympic Gold, World Cup Gold and a Stanley Cup Ring.

Forsberg’s fellow countryman, Mats Sundin has also been selected for the Hall. Recently, Sundin was officially enshrined to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and his selection to the IIHF Hall is another post career accolade that was well deserved.

Although Finland did not join their Scandinavian counterpart for Olympic Gold, the “Suomi” did taste the medal stands under the tenure of Teppo Numminen’s play. The talented defenseman retired as the European with the most career games in the National Hockey League.

This group is joined by Danielle Goyette who was a tough female scorer for multiple Canadian Women’s teams. She is one of the game’s first certifiable female stars.

The 2013 Class is rounded out by Jan-Ake Edvinsson as a builder (from Sweden) and broadcaster Gord Miller (From Canada)

We here at Notinhalloffame.com congratulate this year’s class to the International Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.

Two weeks ago we uploaded the 2014 Hockey Future List. You didn’t think we were done there did you? We are now unveiling our 2015 list of eligible players for the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2015. As you can see, it is a much smaller group as we only have Alex Kovalev, Sergei Fedorov and Nicklas Lidstrom as candidates.

You know what to do!
