Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity. As such, we are very happy to present our pre-2021 revision of our top 50 Green Bay Packers of all-time. As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:  1.  Advanced Statistics. 2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the NFL. …
New England Patriots Wide Receiver, Julian Edelman, has retired.  Edelman, who is 34, played only six Games last year due to chronic knee issues, played all 12 of years in the NFL with the Pats. Edelman’s story is a phenomenal one, as despite being a Quarterback at Kent State, Patriots Head Coach, Bill Belichik saw him as a possible receiver/returner, and as often was the case, he was right.  Edelman was never a Pro Bowl or All-Pro Selection, but he became a regular target of Tom Brady, and would have three 1,000-Yard campaigns, accumulating 6,822 Yards with 36 Touchdowns.  Combined with his Return…

You know that we love our Halls of Fame here…it is kind of in the name! As such, it is interesting to us that the Senior Bowl Hall of Fame has announced five new members to their institution.  The Hall is designed to pay tribute to former players who have made lasting contributions to the game of football.  The first Class occurred in 1988. The five inductees are: Patrick Surtain: Surtain went in the 2ndRound (44thOverall) in the 1998 Draft after being the Conference USA Player of the Year.  The Cornerback played 11 seasons, seven with Miami, where he was a three-time Pro…

RIP: DMX

A sad day in the world of Rap Music has occurred as Earl Simmons, known professionally as DMX, has passed away at the age of 50.  DMX had a heart attack last week, and had been on life support for many days. Known for his gruff voice and gritty lyrics, DMX took over as the top rapper in the late 90s and early 00s following the passing of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.  DMX had five number one albums, and while he looked tough and sounded profane, he was incredibly relatable and complex. DMX also branched out into the acting, most…
We can’t tell you how much we love this. The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the creation of the Bengals Ring of Honor, which will have four names in their inaugural class, two of which, they have already named.  Those two are Paul Brown and Anthony Munoz. Brown, who built the Cleveland Browns decades earlier and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967, became the inaugural Head Coach of the Bengals in 1968.  Serving in that capacity until 1975, Brown brought Cincinnati to the playoffs in 1970, the earliest at that time that an expansion team made the playoffs.…
Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  We have a new one to unveil today, that of the Detroit Wings.  An Original Six franchise, the Detroit Red Wings have been a “streaky” team as they have had periods of either feast or famine. Beginning in 1926 as the Cougars, the team was renamed the Falcons before adopting the Red Wings moniker in 1932.  Detroit would win two Stanley Cups that decade (1936 & 1937), with another in 1943, then…
