Trent Williams went to seven Pro Bowls with Washington but sat out the 2019 Season after he was misdiagnosed with a form of cancer and wanted to go to another team.  He got his wish with a 2020 trade to San Francisco, where on the West Coast, Williams has played the best football of his life.

A Pro Bowl Selection again in 2020, Williams added three more over the last three seasons, all while earning First Team All-Pros.  Williams has proven to be the finest Left Tackle in the NFL in the 2020s thus far and has anchored the Niners to three deep playoff appearances. 

Williams is aging like wine, going into the 2025 Season.

The problem with running a Hall of Fame-related website is that many of the big ones we cover all have announcements within months of each other.  The backbone of what we do is list-related, resulting in a long push to revise what we already have, specifically now with our Football Hockey and Basketball Lists.

As many of you know, we at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the top 50 of each major North American sports team. That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists and consistently look to update them when necessary and based on necessity. As such, we are delighted to present our post-2023 revision of our top 50 Pittsburgh Steelers.

As for all of our top 50 players in football, we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Football League.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles that are not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, the Steelers made the playoffs but were eliminated in the first round.  They had no new entrants in the Top 50 but two major elevations.

As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:

5. Jack Ham

T.J. Watt, the Former Defensive Player of the Year, last year’s runner-up, and Sack Leader rocketed to #12 from #28.

Cameron Heyward, a six-time Pro Bowl Defensive End moved to #19 from #22.

Last year, the Saints had a winning record (9-8) but were unable to make the playoffs.  The veteran team had one new entrant and multiple elevations.

Jordan overtook Roaf for the #4 spot.

Running Back Alvin Kamara had a solid year but was unable to move ahead of his #8 rank.

Wide Receiver Michael Thomas moved up only one spot to #11.

Linebacker DeMario Davis had a huge jump, going from #33 to #15.

Right Tackle Ryan Ramczyk climbed to #26 from #34.

Cornerback Marshon Lattimore went up five spots to #37.

Left Guard Andrus Peat, now with Las Vegas, went up one spot to #40.

The lone new entry is Taysom Hill.  He debuts at #45.
