It is a long process isn’t it?
We here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly but surely working our way to give you the Top 50 of every major North American Franchise, and we are ready to present to you another one; this time the NFL’s Detroit Lions.
While many of you view the Lions as this sad sack team over the past few decades, this is a team that does have multiple NFL Championship appearances.

We owe all of you a sincere apology
As much as we have been working hard to update our lists as quickly as possible, we recognize that our NASCAR list has slid and is about a year behind.
Make that two.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame has announced the 2017 Hall of Fame Class and they are as follows:
Richard Childress, a former owner who had Dale Earnhardt on his roster.
Mark Martin, who won 40 races on the Sprint Cup Circuit.
Raymond Parks, a former owner who won the first Modified Title in 1948.
Benny Parsons, the 1973 Sprint Cup Series Champion who has 21 Sprint Cup wins including the 1975 Daytona 500.
Rick Hendrick, an owner who has 11 Sprint Cup Championship and 15 Drivers’ Championships in total.
Following our apology, we here at Notinhalloffame.com promise all of you that we will have our NASCAR list updated by summer.

Tim Raines: Still Hopeful

Every year, we here at Notinhalloffame.com champion former Montreal Expos Outfielder, Tim Raines, as a bona fide Baseball Hall of Famer.
This past week, Raines was in Chicago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of U.S. Cellular Field and was the most optimistic he has ever been for the Baseball Hall of Fame despite entering his tenth and final year of eligibility.
Raines had the following to say:
"This is probably the first year out of the nine years that I've been on the ballot that I really, really feel like I have a chance…I think about it a lot more than I ever have in the past.
If I don't (get in), it's not the end of the world…I would love for it to happen. But coming now to this point, being my last year on the ballot and being so close, it's getting a little nerve-wracking. I think those nerves are starting to set in. I just can't wait until it's over now."
Raines is coming off a 2016 vote of 69.8 percent, which is the farthest by far that he has received.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com have had Raines ranked in the top twelve since our website’s inception and are hopeful that the former leadoff sensation will enter Cooperstown next year.
Will he get in?

Corey Taylor sounds off on the N.W.A/Gene Simmons controversy

You can always count on Slipknot’s Corey Taylor for speaking his mind, so when Loudwire asked him his thoughts on the Gene Simmons/N.W.A. controversy, you have to know that he would not skirt the issue.
He had the following to say:
“I see what Gene's saying, and, you know, I'm old-school guy as well; I get it. But at the same time, the more I look at what N.W.A. did, man, I mean, they influenced me, and I'm a rock and roll guy. So how do they not deserve to be in there? To me, bands like that, bands like RUN–D.M.C., it's a different type of band, but it's a band, man. I mean, that's straight up. So I can see both sides of it."
"I have bigger problems with the Hall Of Fame than some of the people who have gone in. Mine has more to do with the fact that until this year, CHEAP TRICK and DEEP PURPLE weren't in. That, to me, is disrespectful on a whole other level. Does N.W.A. deserve to be in. You're goddamn right they do. But did CHEAP TRICK and DEEP PURPLE deserve to be in years before they got in? You're damn right they did. So that whole organization needs to figure out who they're gonna honor and when, because there are still bands right now who aren't in that should be."
Simmons had previously criticized the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for inducting N.W.A. and other hip-hop acts as they were not “Rock and Roll”.
Now are we done talking about this?
