Committee Chairman

Kirk Buchner, "The Committee Chairman", is the owner and operator of the site.  Kirk can be contacted at [email protected] .
Ice Cube and Kevin Hart were guests on the Graham Norton show, and while much of the attention resulting from it were on Ice Cube’s take on the Academy Awards only nominating white actors, we found something far more interesting for our purposes.

“We are playing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and then there is Coachella, and I'm going to try and get all the guys together and do an amazing show”

We don’t know about you, but considering that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame constantly has inducted acts fail to perform due to bickering or other personal issues, the fact that N.W.A. will be performing is of great value to us.

As always, we here at Notinhalloffame.com will be watching the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony and are sure that many of you will be doing the same.

Thankfully, we have another reason to watch!

The WWE Hall of Fame is fast approaching and with the headliner of Sting already announced as the headliner there has been much speculation as to who will the join the icon.

The popular website, WhatCulture.com has stated that they have an exclusive as to who will be joining the former multi-time WCW Champion, and it includes names that have been long speculated and some names that have to be considered real headscratchers.

The site has stated what many have long thought in that the Fabulous Freebirds will be selected.  The influential triumvirate of Michael P.S. Hayes, Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy and Buddy Roberts were major stars in Texas, feuding with the Von Erichs and had success in multiple territories across the United States.  It is unknown at this time whether they will be joined by Jimmy Garvin who teamed with Hayes as the Freebirds from 1989 to 1992 and were WCW World Tag Team Champions twice.

WhatCulture has also stated that Texas native, John Bradshaw Layfieldwill be going in.  JBL is the current color commentator on Monday Night RAW and is a former World Tag Team and WWE World Heavyweight Champion.  Layfield inducted his long time tag team partner, Ron Simmons, into the WWE Hall two years ago.

Another Texan who WhatCulture states will be inducted, is female wrestler, Jacqueline.  This has to be considered a bit of a surprise as she was never considered the top diva in the company, though she was a very good performer who was with the WWE for seven years.  Considering the WWE has been inducting women every year, the fact that the ceremony is taking place in Dallas, may be what put her over.  At present, Jacqueline is ranked #250 on our site, which would make her the lowest ranked inductee since we initiated that section in 2010.

Charles Wright, who competed for many years in the WWE under various personas is also speculated to get into the Hall.  Wright debuted as Papa Shango, than would have runs as Kama, Kama Mustapha and the Godfather, which while the character was a mid-carder, was insanely over in the Attitude Era.

WhatCulture has also stated that their source has informed that the Celebrity Inductee will be Regis Philbin, who appeared at Wrestlemania VII and often had wrestlers on his various shows, always showing them with respect.

Will these names be inducted soon?

We will find out for certain in the upcoming weeks?

You will have to forgive us, as we are a little late on this one.

Wide Receiver, Reggie Wayne, has announced that he will be officially retiring.  Wayne had asked for his release at the end of pre-season from the New England Patriots this year, but not was able to latch on to any other team.

With this official retirement, Reggie Wayne retires with some serious Hall of Fame credentials.  A six time Pro Bowl Selection, Wayne caught 1,070 passes for 14,345 Yards and 82 Touchdowns, and is 7th, 8th and 23rd respectively in those categories, all-time.

Those are good statistics but this is not all that has been accomplished by Wayne, who with the exception of this year’s preseason with New England played all of his thirteen seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.  Wayne is a former First Team All Pro and a two time Second Team All Pro and in 21 Playoff Games, caught 93 passes for 1,254 Yards and 9 Touchdowns and was a member of the Colts Super Bowl win in the 2006 season.

Wayne will be available for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020 and will be on our Notinhalloffame.com football list once eligible.

Thank you Mr Wayne for the memories and we wish you the best of luck in your post playing endeavors.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com thought it would be fun to take a look at the major awards in North American team sports and see how it translates into Hall of Fame potential.

Needless to say, different awards in different sports yield hall of fame potential.  In basketball, the team sport with the least amount of players on a roster, the dividend for greatness much higher.  In baseball, it is not as much as a great individual season does not have the same impact.
