A very significant retirement took place as Henrik Zetterberg of the Detroit Red Wings has announced that he is done playing hockey. Zetterberg has a degenerative back condition that can not be cured by rest or surgery and he opted to end playing so that he increase his quality of life in his later years. Manu Ginobili announced today via his Twitter that at the age of 41 he is ending his career in the National Basketball Association.
