Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our post 2022/23 revision of our top 50 Cincinnati Reds.

As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in Major League Baseball.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, the Reds failed to make the playoffs and only had one active player ranked, but he did not move.  Nevertheless, we always acknowledge when we look at the latest season.

As always, we present our top five, which obviously saw no changes:

1. Pete Rose

2. Johnny Bench

3. Frank Robinson

4. Joe Morgan

5. Joey Votto

You can find the entire list here.

The only notable think to mention is that the number five player, Joey Votto, did not advance.

We thank you for your continued support for our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.

Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our post 2022/23 revision of our top 50 Chicago White Sox.

Last year, the White Sox did not make the playoffs, and we had no new entrants.  For the first time ever, the only change was lowering a player based on the past year!

As always, we present our top five, which saw no changes:

1. Frank Thomas

2. Ed Walsh

3. Luke Appling

4. Ted Lyons

5. Red Faber

You can find the entire list here.

The only change was a first for us.  Tim Anderson had such a bad season, that he dropped from #43 to #48.  We have dropped players one spot before, this is unprecedented, especially for a team with as long as a history as the White Sox.

We thank you for your continued support for our lists on Notinhalloffame.com.

Last night at UFC 297, we learned that Frankie Edgar would headline the 2024 UFC Hall of Fame Class.

Nicknamed “The Answer”, Edgar has a career record of 23-11-1, and won the Lightweight Championship by beating B.J. Penn at UFC 112.  He also won eight Fight of the Night Awards and holds wins over Urijah Faber and Cub Swanson.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate Frankie Edgar for earning this impending honor.

1955 PRELIMINARY RESULTS:

Thank you for all of you who have participated in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Revisited Project, and if you are unaware of what that is, simply, we acted as if the PFHOF had their first class in January of 1946?

We have completed the first nine years thus far.

For “1955” a Preliminary Vote with over 130 players whose playing career ended by 1949. We are also following the structure in that players have 20 years of eligibility, and if they do not make it into the Hall, they are relegated to the Senior Pool.

Each voter was asked to select 25 names from the preliminary list, with the top 25 vote getters named as Semi-Finalists.

A week later, the voters will be asked to pick 15 names from the 25 Semi-Finalists, and next after, they will pick five from the remaining 15. We will continue this process weekly until we catch up to the current year.

Please note that a significant change took place, allowing for voters to submit less than the allotted spots.  A glitch did not allow for that to occur in Coaches/Contributors.  That will be rectified in the future.
