We were wondering how the Pro Football Hall of Fame were going to react when Terrell Owens decided that he was going to do his Hall of Fame speech somewhere other than Canton with the rest of the inductees. We found out today, and their answer is to not acknowledge him at all that evening. The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America has announced their Class of 2019, which consists of seven important figures in the world of American Motorsports. The new inductees are: Augie Duesenberg: Along with his brother Frederick, Duesenberg was a pioneer in the automotive field having built multiple cars that dominated racing in the 1920’s. Dario Franchitti: From Scotland, Franchitti would become a four time IndyCar Series Champion (2007, 2009, 2010 & 2011) and was a three time winner of the Indianapolis 500 (2007, 2010 & 2012). It was announced today that Frank Ramsey, a member of both the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and College Basketball Hall of Fame died today of natural causes. He was 86 years old. Ramsey played collegiately for the University of Kentucky where he was a National Champion in 1951 under the legendary Adolph Rupp. Drafted 5th overall in 1953 by the Boston Celtics, Ramsey would be part of a juggernaut team that would win seven NBA Championships (1957, 1959-64) and many basketball pundits dubbed him as the “Original Sixth Man”. We have a significant (though not celebrated) retirement in Baseball as Jayson Werth has decided to end his comeback and call it a career. It was a simple statement that he made with Fancred Sports: “I’m done…whatever you want to call it”. We here at Notinhalloffame.com have always been huge advocates of Don Cherry gaining induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame, though we have to give the bombastic hockey analyst credit, as he doesn’t promote himself for the Toronto based institution.
