While he last played in the NBA in 2018, Zach Randolph has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball. Playing his college ball at Michigan State, “Z-Bo” was the 19thOverall Pick in 2001, when he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers. As much as we love Halls of Fame, we have often been critical about the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. In April, we did our standard recap where we wished a player the best in their post-playing endeavors, with the individual person in question being Marshawn Lynch. The NFL season is not yet over, but we have a significant retirement that was announced today. Darren Sproles of the Philadelphia Eagles, who is out for the rest of the season with a hip injury, announced that he will officially call it a career. A fourth round pick from Kansas State in 2005, Sproles was mostly used as a Kick Returner as a rookie. We have another retirement in Baseball to look at as Ian Kinsler has announced that he is retiring from the game. The San Diego Padre cited issues with a cervical disk that ended his 2018 season. The Second Baseman began his Major League career in 2006 with the Texas Rangers, where he finished seventh in Rookie of the Year voting. It was announced today by the Cauliflower Alley Club, that former WWWF World Tag Team Champion, Rene Goulet passed away at the age of 86. Goulet had passed away in May of this year, but the family has only made the announcement of his death public today. From Quebec, Goulet began his career in 1957, and would spend a lot of his career in the American Wrestling Association.
