After what can only be described as a trying league for European Football, it is nice to move on with something positive, as the Premier League Hall of Fame has announced their first two members.

Former Blackburn and Newcastle star, Alan Shearer and former Arsenal player, Thierry Henry are the first two members of a group that will also include six more members based on a public vote.

Shearer’s 260 Goals are the most on Premier League history, and his striking ability is second to none of his day.

Henry played for Arsenal from 1999 to 2007 and the native of France was a four-time Premier League Golden Boot winner.  The Gunners won two FA Cups while he was there.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate both Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry for earning this very prestigious honor.

Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity. As such, we are very happy to present our pre-2021 revision of our top 50 Minnesota Vikings of all-time.

As for all of our top 50 players in football we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the NFL.

3. Playoff accomplishments.

4. Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

This our first revision in two years, and it has yielded two new entries.  There are no changes in our top five, but as always, we present our top five.  They are:

1. Alan Page

2. FranTarkenton

3. Carl Eller

4. Randall McDaniel

5. Mick Tingelhoff

You can find the entire list here.

Free Safety, Harrison Smith, moved up seven spots to #34.

The two new entries are Tight End, Kyle Rudolph (#48) and Defensive Tackle, Linval Joseph (#49).

In the future, Running Back, Dalvin Cook will likely be on next year’s list if he repeats his 2020 Pro Bowl campaign.

We also suspect that Quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who has only been a Viking for three years, but has been entrenched in the upper half of NFL pivots could crack the top 50 too.

We welcome your input and commentsand as always, we thank you for your support.

A lot of individuals in the entertainment industry are gay or bisexual, even if many of them are uncomfortable discussing such topics publically. That’s why singers who are open about their sexual preference and lesbian relationships deserve the utmost respect for their courage and honesty.

Does coming out help or hinder a music career?

In the past, the mainstream press wasn’t kind towards LGBT individuals, and it was very hard for popular musicians to admit their true preference. Mere rumours of homosexuality were enough to destroy careers back in the 1950s and ’60s, but over the past few decades, social attitudes have changed in a dramatic way. Today artists who come out as gay or lesbian can expect more support than criticism, although the impact of this brave decision remains questionable. At the very least, moving the conversation from lesbian chat rooms to the main news channel must be considered progress, but it would be naive to think that those who come out have a red carpet laid out for them.

Famous women who admitted they like women

The list of celebrities from the world of music who are known to enjoy the company of the same sex is quite long. Here are some of the famous examples of lesbian singers who are on the record saying they like other women:

Amy Winehouse

Late rock singer was a magnet for controversy, and her sexual orientation was just one of the things that tabloids were fascinated with. Her lifestyle was rather wild, and it wasn’t unusual for her to engage in affairs with persons of both genders. While she was married at a young age and maintained long term relationships with men, she belongs on this list of openly LGBT celebrities.

Halsey

Popular American musician Halsey never hid her bisexuality, and she had experiences with women even before she became famous. Later in her career, she was in a relationship with several high profile male musicians, but she remains very open about her orientation and doesn’t shy away from questions about her affinity for women.

Miley Cyrus

Another polarizing figure from the entertainment industry, once known as teen star Hannah Montana, Miley, has changed dramatically over the years. However, one thing remained constant – her insistence on a pansexual and gender-fluid identity. She has spoken extensively about such issues and has even referenced gay themes in her music work, making her one of the leading pro-LGBT voices in the modern mainstream music marketplace.

Fergie

Formerly a member of the pop group Black Eyed Peas, Fergie has been in the public eye a long time and has often been associated with uninhibited behaviour. She has been married and has a son but has spoken openly about having sexual adventures with women, although she doesn’t think she could be in a relationship with a person of the same gender.

Demi Lovato

Singer and actress Demi Lovato has identified publically as queer and sexually fluid, saying she is open to a romantic relationship with another woman. At different times, she has gravitated more towards men or women, depending on her moods. She is actively involved in promoting the LGBT cause, which is rare for a musician of her stature.

Final Words

Do singers inspire lesbian fans for love search? It’s an interesting question to consider whether ordinary people model their romantic behaviour after their idols from the entertainment world. When looking for a same-sex partner and building relationships, many fans turn to their famous idols for example. And for a gay person, it can certainly be reassuring to know that even famous people struggle with the consequences of coming out. At the same time, the personal circumstances of female singers are very different from those of their fans, so it’s difficult for them to act freely when it comes to announcing sexual orientation.

Every year the NBA Hall of Fame welcomes legends of the game to its wall, however, the ceremony was postponed last year, and will instead be taking place this year in May. The induction ceremony recognises basketball stars and influential members of the basketball world alike.

This post will look through the players and committee members that will be forever enshrined in the halls of the Naismith Memorial Museum.

Kobe Bryant

While the events that led to us losing the great Kobe Bryant won’t be forgotten anytime soon, he was always going to enter the Hall of Fame. there are very few, if any players, that have reached the heights that Kobe did, let alone win what he won.

The 18-time NBA All-Star was also a 5-time Champion with his career team the Lakers. He was a 2-time NBA Final MVP, as well as a 2-time Olympic gold medalist representing the United States in London and Beijing.

Not only was he a phenom during his career, but many players credit him with being their inspiration and the reason they play basketball. We can’t forget about the “Mamba mentality” either, another aspect of his incredible legacy that will live on.

Kevin Garnett

Another man who has most definitely left his name on the game forever, is Kevin Garnett. KG spent most of his playing career with the Timberwolves and Celtics, with a couple of seasons at the Nets sprinkled in there.

He is a 15-time NBA All-Star, a 9-time NBA All Defensive Team pick, and an NBA Champion with the Celtics back in 2008. His individual awards are endless, but it is what he brought to your team that was incredible. An individual giant, as well as the definition of a team player, Garnett had it all.

Tim Duncan

Another one team player, Tim Duncan spent all of his playing career, as well as his stanza in coaching, at the San Antonio Spurs. A man who is sometimes forgotten when it comes to the “all-time greats” of the game, Duncan has the individual and team accolades to most definitely put him in the conversation.

Duncan was crowned MVP 15 times, as well as being an NBA champion 5 times with the Spurs, and a 3-time NBA Final MVP. He has also dabbled in coaching, but considering the monumental career he has had, it’s more surprising that he wasn’t inducted sooner.

Eddie Sutton

Unfortunately, another inductee that won’t be able to attend the ceremony is that of Eddie Sutton. Sutton coached from high school all the way up to college, winning multiple titles in the process.

He was a 2-time AP Coach of the Year, NABC Coach of the Year, 4-time SWC Coach of the Year, a one-time Big Eight Coach of the Year, and a 2-time Big 12 Coach of the Year. He was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011, and it is about time he made his way into NBA Hall of Fame.

Rudy Tomjanovic

The power forward spent most of his career in basketball as a coach, leading the Houston Rockets as both head coach and assistant, as coaching the LA Lakers. As a player, he was a 5-time NBA All-Star, and saw his two NBA title wins come as a coach.

Tomjanovic was the victim of an almost fatal punch to the face back in 1977, it ended his season prematurely, but he came back to play for 3 more seasons. He was als the head coach of Team USA when they won the gold medal at the Sydney Olympics back in 2000.

Tamika Catchings

What hasn’t Tamika Catchings won in the WNBA? She is currently the GM at the Indiana Fever, and spent her career playing for Indiana, as well as spent time in Poland, Russia, as well as Turkey.

Her list of accomplishments is endless, she is a WNBA Champion, a WNBA Finals MVP, a 10-time WNBA All Star, a 7-time All-WNBA First Team, a 5-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year, as well as a 5-time member of the All-Defensive First Team.

Kim Mulkey

Kim Mulkey can easily be regarded as one of the best coaches the game has ever seen. While her playing career saw her gain a small amount of success, although that does include an Olympic gold medal, she most definitely reached her heights as a coach while at Louisiana Tech and Baylor.

As a coach, she won the AP Basketball Coach of the Year twice, she is a 3-time USBWA Coach of the Year, and a 2-time WBCA Coach of the Year. She is also part of the Louisiana Tech Hall of Fame and a winner of the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award.

Barbara Stevens

Another coach that dominated the College women’s game is Barbara Stevens. She spent her college career playing for Bridgewater State, and her coaching career started in 1976 at Clark, she then spent a few years at UMass, before spending the rest of her career at Bentley.

Stevens is a 5-time WBCA National Division II Coach of the Year, and incredibly, she is a 16-time NE-10 Coach of the Year. She was also the recipient of the Carol Eckman Award in 2002.

Patrick Baumann

A basketball executive being recognised for the good he did for the game, Patrick Bauman is being recognised posthumously in this Hall of Fame class. He was a FIBA executive and a member of the International Olympic Committee for more than 10 years.

Bauman focussed a lot on the youth game and bringing youngsters up through the ranks. He was well-known for the hard work he put into spreading the game across the globe and giving more and more players the chance to make it.
