The Black College Football HOF to move to Canton

This should be a major coup for the Black College Football Hall of Fame.
It was announced today that the Black College Hall of Fame will land in Canton, Ohio in 2019 as part of the latter’s vast renovation.
Spearheaded by Doug Williams and James Harris, two Grambling alumni, the Black College Football Hall of Fame was founded by 2009, and will soon be a Hall within a Hall. It had been speculated that the original locale would have been Atlanta, Georgia, a perfect spot as this has been where they have held all of their inauguration galas, but with this move to Canton, traffic would be much larger and give them far more exposure than they could have ever hoped to receive.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate the Black College Hall of Fame in what certainly is a golden opportunity.

Minotauro Nogueira to the UFC HOF

While the UFC does not have a physical Hall of Fame as of yet, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are very much in favor of the Hall’s direction, which was instituted last year. This process sees inductees chosen based in the following categories:
The Pioneer Era: Specific to those who began their careers before November 17, 2000, when the current rules were largely put into place, is 35 years old and has been retired for at least one year.
The Modern Era: Specific to those who have turned pro after November 17, 2000.
The Contributors Wing: Specific for non-fighters.
Fight Wing: This is for a legendary fight, which has to have take place prior to July 10, 2011.
With this in mind, the UFC is now staggering their announcements (brilliant) to generate more buzz for their Hall of Fame and last night at UFC 198, the 2016 Pioneer Era inductee was announced.
Entering the UFC Hall of Fame is Brazilian, jiu-jitsu specialist, Antonio, Rodrigo Nogueira, more commonly known as “Minotauro”.
Nogueira was a staple of the Japanese Pride Promotion and in 2001 he would become their first Heavyweight Champion, a title he would hold for nearly two years. He would make his UFC debut in 2007, defeating Heath Herring and would later become the interim UFC Heavyweight Champion.
He retired with a record of 34-10, was the Wrestling Observer Fighter of the Year in 2002 and is already in the Sherdog and MMA.Freak.com Hall of Fame.

We are thrilled here at Notinhalloffame.com to unveil our latest major update to the site.
Last month, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced its latest class prompting us to revise our list for the upcoming year.
Recapping, four men from our Basketball list advanced to Springfield and that included our top three (Shaquille O’Neal, Allen Iverson & Yao Ming) and Zelmo Beatty, who was ranked at #20 on our list from last year. With those four out and with new entries eligible, the state of the list has changed. Along with all of your votes and comments, here is the new top ten on the Notinhalloffame.com Basketball List.
#1. Chris Webber
Webber returns to our top spot, though he has never been named a Finalist. This is likely due to his controversy at the University of Michigan, where he was banned from the program for years for accepting money from boosters resulting in the forfeiture of wins and Final Four appearance, though we believe his overall success in the game supersedes that.
#2. Sidney Moncreif
This is Moncreif’s highest rank and the two time Defensive Player of the Year has five post-season All-NBA Selections to his credit.
#3. Jack Sikma
Sikma climbs to the number three spot and is a seven time NBA All-Star.
#4. Mark Aguirre
Three time All Star, and two time NBA Champion with the Detroit Pistons, Mark Aguirre also has reached his highest rank since we have created our Notinhalloffame.com Basketball List.
#5. Shawn Kemp
Shawn Kemp reaches the top five for the first time and is a six time NBA All-Star.
#6. Ben Wallace
This is the highest debut for the new list. Ben Wallace is a four time Defensive Player of the Year and made five post season All-NBA Teams. Wallace is also a NBA Champion in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons.
#7. Max Zaslofsky
Every year, another rise for four time First Team All-NBA Selection from the 1950’s, Max Zaslofsky.
#8. Tim Hardaway
Hardaway is a former Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Finalist. He is a five time NBA All-Star.
#9. Maurice Lucas
A former NBA Champion with the Portland Trail Blazers, Maurice Lucas made five All Star Teams.
#10. Kevin Johnson
Johnson cracks the top ten for the first time and is a three time All-Star.
While Ben Wallace is the only former player to debut in the top ten, there are three other additions to this year’s list.
#34. Gilbert Arenas
Arenas had a controversial career but he is a former three time Post Season All-Star and at one point in his career seemed like he was on a Hall of Fame path.
#64. Michael Redd
Redd had some good seasons with Milwaukee and is a former Third Team All-NBA Selection.
#76. Antoine Walker
A former Celtic, Walker was a star for a time but is more known for his financial hardships after his career ended.

Stephanie McMahon comments on Chyna and the WWE HOF

This is interesting.
Today TMZ asked Stephanie McMahon whether the recently deceased Joanie Laurer (Chyna) would ever get into the WWE Hall of Fame. Her answer alluded to a strong possibility that the “9th Wonder of the World” will enter the Hall:
“I’m SURE that we will see Chyna in the Hall of Fame at some point in the future. I’m not sure exactly what year that will be, but there’s no denying her contributions to WWE.”
As known by most of you, the history between Stephanie and Laurer is a personal one as Stephanie’s husband, Jean Levesque (Triple H), was formally with Chyna and left the latter for the former. Shortly after this occurred, the contract of Laurer was not renewed, and many have argued that it was a downward spiral for her ever since.
A year ago on Steve Austin’s Podcast, Triple H was asked directly if he felt that Chyna should be in the WWE Hall of Fame, and his answer reflected her career in pornography and essentially that a publically traded company would have a hard time inducting her into the Hall. That being said, many of her peers (including Austin) have stated that Chyna should be in the Hall and prior to her death she was campaigning for a future induction.
As the WWE has been enshrining a female every year, a posthumous induction for Chyna could be possible, especially considering the clamoring for it to happen.
Based on how they handled Randy Savage’s death (and eventual induction) we suspect that she will not get in next year, but perhaps in the year after.
Either way, we know it will be fascinating!
