We here at Notinhalloffame.com have put in a lot of effort in regards to the WWE section, but we have not exactly given as much attention as we should to the Celebrity Wing.

That has changed today.

We have had in the past seen celebrities enter the WWE Hall of Fame who frankly were not on our radar (namely Snoop Dogg) so expansion seemed like the natural thing to do.  As such, our top 10 has expanded to 29, and here is the necessary information to the new entrants.

Here is the 29 Celebrity possibilities for the WWE Hall of Fame:

1.  Muhammad Ali

2.  Cyndi Lauper

3.  Andy Kaufman

4. Floyd Mayweather

5. Lawrence Taylor

6. Regis Philbin

7. Shaquille O’Neal

8. Maria Menounos

9. William Shatner

10. Hugh Jackman

11, Stephen Amell

12. David Arquette

13. Dennis Rodman

14. Tom “Tiny” Lister

15. Motorhead

16. Jon Stewart

17. Ronda Rousey

18. Bob Barker

19. Ozzy Osbourne

20. Pamela Anderson

21. Alice Cooper

22. Seth Green

23. Jerry Springer

24. Chuck Norris

25. Mickey Rourke

26. Snooki

27. Limp Bizkit

28. Kevin Federline

29. Kid Rock

The entire list can be found here and we encourage all of you to cast a vote and give us your opinion.

We will be working on our future WWE section next, but rest assured we will have a lot more to do here.

Thank you again for all of your support and look soon for our next WWE section.
We here at Notinhalloffame.com thought it would be fun to take a look at the major awards in North American team sports and see how it translates into Hall of Fame potential.

Needless to say, different awards in different sports yield hall of fame potential.  In basketball, the team sport with the least amount of players on a roster, the dividend for greatness much higher.  In baseball, it is not as much as a great individual season does not have the same impact.
We love days like this!

Today the Hockey Hall of Fame announced the 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame Class and without any clear cut nominees it opened up the chance for other entries to enter the hallowed halls of Toronto.  This is exactly what happened today.

Eric Lindros, the former NHL Hart Trophy winner will headline this year’ class.  Lindros was forced to retire early due to concussions but was still able to be a Point per Game player with 865 career Points.  Lindros was a seven time NHL All Star and was ranked #1 on our Notinhalloffame.com Hockey List.

Lindros will be joined by Sergei Makarov, the former star of the Soviet Red Army of the 1980’s.  Makarov would take the Soviet Union to eight World Hockey Championships and two Olympic Gold Medals.  He would later join the NHL and played 400 Games.  Makarov is ranked #3 on or Notinhalloffame.com list.

Goalie, Rogie Vachon also made the cut.  Vachon won the Stanley Cup three times with the Montreal Canadians and was a three time All Star.  Vachon was ranked #21 on our Notinhalloffame.com list.

These three players will be joined by the late coach, Pat Quinn, who also was a one time chair of the Hall of Fame.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate this year’s class and assure you that in three weeks we will have the new list up.
OK, gang!  It’s that time again!

Last September, Notinhalloffame.com announced the launch of the Fictitious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a sister of our Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame, which inducted its first full class on December 2, 2014.

The first full class of the Fictitious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was inducted last year comprised The Blues Brothers, Spinal Tap and the Monkees; all of which were considered controversial though all had a fictional story about them.

This year as the result of your online votes the 2016 Semi-Finalists have been chosen.

The Semi-Finalists are:

1.  Alvin & The Chipmunks

Say what you want about these anthropomorphic rodents, but they have had multiple hit movies and went number one on Billboard twice.  The Chipmunks were Finalists last year.

2.  The Archies

The Archies had a surprise number one hit with “Sugar Sugar”, which has to be considered a classic in the bubblegum genre.

3.  B-Rabbit

Eminem delivered in his one and only lead performance in a film, though as Jimmy “B-Rabbit” Smith, he basically portrayed a fictionalized version of himself.

4.  The Banana Splits

From the early 1970’s, the Banana Splits were animal creatures from the minds of the Sid and Marty Kroft.  Their theme song, “The Tra La La Song” is engrained in the mind of many fifty-somethings today.

5.  The Be-Sharps

Comprised of Homer Simpson, Principal Skinner, Barney Gumble and Apu Nahasspeemapetilion, the Be-Sharps won a Grammy Award for the Outstanding Soul, Spoken Word, or Barbershop Album of the Year.  They are the first of two Simpsons Semi-Finalists.

6.  Bleeding Gums Murphy

Lisa Simpson’s favorite musician, Bleeding Gums Murphy is second of two characters from the Simpsons to make the Semi-Finals.

7.  The Commitments

From the movie of the same name, The Commitments were Irish Blue-Eyed Soul at it’s finest, and yes that is a thing!

8.  Crucial Taunt

Led by the muse of Wayne Campbell, Crucial Taunt was the main band in the original Wayne’s World.

9.  Dethklok

A virtual band featured in Adult Swim’s “Metalocalypse”, Dethklok are the animated kings of death metal.

10. Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem

The house band for the Muppets narrowly missed out on an induction last year as they finished fourth in 2015 Finalist voting.

11. Drive Shaft

The one hit wonder from the television series, Lost, gave us “You All Everybody”.

12. Eddie and the Cruisers

Eddie and the Cruisers were a rock band from the early 1960’s, and from the film of the same name, their lead singer Eddie Wilson faked his death out of frustration to pursue his sound.

13. Gorillaz

A very successful virtual band, Gorillaz is the creation of Blur frontman, Damon Albarn.  Arguably, Gorillaz “blurs” the line between real and fictional more than any other Semi-Finalist.

14. Hakeem Lyon

The heir to the Lyon Dynasty (or is he?) on Empire, Hakeem Lyon is presented as one of the top rappers in the game.

15. Hannah Montana

Hannah Montana was one of the most successful Disney shows of all time and launched Miley Cyrus to the stratosphere.

16. Jerome “Chef” McElroy

Played by the late Isaac Hayes, “Chef” taught the children of South Park right from wrong.

17. Josie and the Pussycats

This is specifically in reference to the popular cartoon version and not the live action film.  This is the second entry from “Riverdale”.

18. Luscious Lyon

The patriarch of the Lyon family in Empire, Luscious Lyon is presented as a hip-hop legend that still has a plethora of hits left in the tank.

19. Marvin Berry & The Starlighters

Marvin Berry, “the cousin of Chuck Berry” performed with his band, the Starlighters at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance in Back to the Future.

20. Michigan J. Frog

The mascot for Warner Brothers is arguably the least contemporary Semi-Finalist as the frog appears to only know Broadway songs from before 1950.

21. Otis Day & The Knights

Otis Day & the Knights were the band that the Delta House fraternity from Faber College hired for their toga party.

22. The Partridge Family

“Hello world, there’s a song that we’re singin’ Come on get happy!”  That opening was on American television for five years for this family band.

23. Phoebe Buffay

Phoebe Buffet may have never made it out of Central Perk but “Smelly Cat” lives on in Pop Culture.

24. Pink

Portrayed by Bob Geldof, Pink was the main character in Pink Floyd’s film adaptation of The Wall.

25. Sex Bob-omb

Sex Bob-omb was the band helmed by Scott Pilgrim, who had the most literal battle of the bands in cinematic history.

26. The School of Rock

From the film of the same name, this is one of two entries featuring Jack Black.

27. Tenacious D

Tenacious D, the side project of Jack Black and Kyle Gass has released multiple albums and had a fictionalized movie on their backstory, “The Pick of Destiny”.

28. The Wonders

From “That Thing You Do”, The Wonders had one hit (this making them one hit wonders) in the early 1960’s.

29. Winslow Leach

Winslow Leach was the “Phantom” in the Brian De Palma cult classic, “The Phantom of the Paradise”.

30. Wyld Stallyns

If Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is to believed, Wyld Stallyns are the band that brought peace to the world.
