It is time for us to continue our expansion here at Notinhalloffame.com and as such we have to focus on a specific discipline.
We are focusing currently of the world of Hockey and for us this means a solid look at the Hockey Hall of Fame futures.
With that in mind, we are pleased to announce additions to the 2018 Hockey Futures.
The following players will be eligible for the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018:
Daniel Briere, a two time All Star.
Evgeni Nabakov, the 2001 Calder Trophy winner and two time All Star.
Ilya Bryzgalov, who was once a Second Team All Star.
Kimmo Timonen, a four time NHL All Star from Finland.
Martin Brodeur, a four time Vezina Trophy winner and three time Stanley Cup Champion.
Martin St. Louis, a former Stanley Cup Champion and former Hart Trophy winner.
Olli Jokinen, a one time All Star.
Sergei Gonchar, a four time All Star.
All of these players are up and awaiting your votes and opinions.

Andruw Jones enters the Atlanta Braves HOF

It’s official.
Former Outfielder, Andruw Jones and Executive, John Schuerholz are now members of the acclaimed Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame.
Jones made his Major League debut a month and a half after his 19th birthday and the Atlanta scouts were correct in that they had a bona fide star on their hands. In his third season, Jones would win his first of ten consecutive Gold Gloves and cement himself as one of the greatest defensive outfielders if his generation. While Jones was a spectacular fielder, he was equally adept at offensive production.
Jones would smack 368 of his 434 Home Runs as a Brave and over his Atlanta tenure had a .263/.342.,497 Slash Line with 1,117 RBIs and 138 Stolen Bases. In 2005, Jones would leas the National League in Home Runs, Runs Batted In and captured his lone Silver Slugger Award.
John Schuerholz, the team’s President since 2007, will join him. Prior to that role, he was the General Manager of the team and is credited with assembling much of the roster that made them so dominant in the 1990’s.

The Ottawa Senators will retire Daniel Alfredsson's number 11

As we are working on the All-Time 50 players for each major North American franchise, we have the intent to eventually look at how each of those teams honor the past players/executives who worked for them. With that in mind, it is major news to us that the Ottawa Senators have announced that they will retire the number of their former longtime forward, Daniel Alfredsson.
Alfredsson was the 6th Round Pick in the 1994 Draft and would join the Senators a year later where he would win the Calder Trophy as the Rookie of the Year. The Swedish sniper played all but his final season with Ottawa and would score 1,108 Points. He would be a six time All Star and was named a Second Team All Star in the 2005/06 campaign.
He is eligible for the Hockey Hall of Fame this year and was ranked #8 for HHOF consideration by us.
Alfredsson’s #11 marks the 2nd number retired by the Senators. When they rebooted over 20 years ago, they retired the #9 of original Senators player, Frank Finnegan, who was part of the push to return hockey to Ottawa.

The Top 50 Winnipeg Jets of All-Time are now up

Again, can we state how much this is a work in progress?
We here at Notinhalloffame.com are in the process of putting together the top 50 players for the main North American Franchises, which comprises of the NHL, NFL, MLB and the NBA.
As such, here is another one that we are proud to display as our Top 50 Winnipeg Jets of All Time are now up.
Before we get to the Top 50, what needs to be noted about this particular franchise list is that this list ONLY reflects the current incarnation whose history begins with the Atlanta Thrashers. This is because the Arizona Coyotes still owns the history of the original Winnipeg Jets and when we do that organization, we will be looking at the Winnipeg/Phoenix/Arizona team history.
Basically, we are telling you that if you are looking for Teemu Selanne, Bobby Hull or Dale Hawerchuk, you won’t find them here.

In a few weeks we will continue our work on this project with a return to the gridiron and the All-Time Indianapolis Colts.
