We aren’t going to go through his entire career as chances are all of you are very familiar with his vast accomplishments, so we will say this:

Peyton Manning is a first ballot Hall of Famer, and will debut at #1 on our Notinhalloffame.com football list when he is eligible for the Hall of Fame, which by the way will be 2021.

Thank you Peyton, as we loved watching one of the best of all time.

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced that former Fullback, Tony Richardson, will become the 46th member of their franchise’s Hall of Fame.

Richardson, who was undrafted out of Auburn, would briefly be with the Dallas Cowboys practice squad before he was signed by the Chiefs in 1995.  Richardson would prove to bean elite blocker, and would pave the way for 1,000 Yard rushing seasons by his respective Running Backs, Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes.

Richardson would become an effective offensive weapon himself, rushing for 1,575 yards and catching 177 passes for another 1,298 Yards.  He would cross the goal line for 24 Touchdowns.

Two of Tony Richardson three Pro Bowls were as a Kansas City Chief and he would be named a Second Team All Pro in 2004.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate Tony Richardson, the latest addition to the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame.

There has been a little bit of WWE Hall of Fame news to report, most specifically with the inductees for the three confirmed inductors for this year’s class.

On his recent podcast, Ric Flair confirmed that he would be inducting Sting to the WWE Hall of Fame.  Sting and Flair were rivals for years in the NWA/WCW and it was Flair who Sting defeated to win his first World Heavyweight Title, which transpired at the 1990 Great American Bash.  With the possible exception of Lex Luger, it is near impossible to come up with a better inductor for Sting.

Earlier this week, it was also confirmed that Kevin Von Erich will be inducting the Fabulous Freebirds.  Kevin, the lone surviving member of the Von Erich Clan, was part of the early 80’s feud between the siblings and the Freebirds, which propelled the World Class territory to huge business.

The Godfather will be inducted by JBL and Ron Simmons, who were longtime road partners of the man known personally as Charles Wright.  As JBL has been announced is an inductor, the speculation that JBL will be inducted himself appears to be negated.

Who else will be selected?

A leak had indicated that Regis Philbin will enter in the celebrity wing and Jacqueline will be this year’s female inductee.

We will certainly be watching to see if this will be the case and as always we will have our eyes on this intensely.

Three years ago I interviewed Stan Hansen for my website and one of the questions I talked to him about was about a possible induction to the WWE Hall of Fame as this was a few years removed from inducting Antonio Inoki to the aforementioned Hall.  Without being disrespectful to the WWE Hall of Fame, he spoke of his induction into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, which was then based in Amsterdam, New York.  For Stan, gaining entry into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame meant so much because as he stated “this one is done by my peers”.

He isn’t the only one who feels that way.

There are many athletic and entertainment Halls of Fame in North America however most of the inductees are decided by writers, and very few solicit actual past participants.  The ones that do have ex-players rarely consist of half of the voting body.  As Stan Hansen stated, that is not the case with the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, whose voting committee is predominantly former professional wrestler, with a sprinkling of wrestling journalists and historians.
