It has been announced that Green Day will be the inductors for Guns and Roses at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I have to wonder.....Why?
I am not certain how that selection is decided, but is it just us, or does this seem out of place? With all due respect to Green Day, their musical style differs from GNR, and they are not Hall of Famers. Really, I could go on and on about this, but this then leads me to think that in the future this site will spend some time disecting the inductors for future Rock and Roll Hall Fame ceremonies.
Thoughts?
WWE Hall of Famer, Chief Jay Strongbow passed away today at the age of 83. Born, Joe Scarpa, Strongbow achieved his greatest in ring success when he joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation. He would become a top draw and a multi-time Tag Team Champion there. Later, he would be a long time figure behind the scenes in the promotion. This is a major loss for the WWE family.
It was already announced that Don Nelson had made the Basketball Hall of Fame, as had several others from other committees. The 2012 Basketball Hall of Fame Class is now complete:
Reggie Miller has joined the Hall of Fame. The Indiana Pacers star should have been a lock last year, but for reasons we are not sure of, he had to wait another year. No matter, he is in where he belongs.
Miller is joined by Ralph Sampson and Jamaal Wilkes, who were both ranked (although in very different spots) on our list. Sampson's inclusion makes us wonder if the Basketball Hall of Fame will still make College Hoops an equal component of the Hall.
We congratulate all three on joining the Basketball Hall of Fame.
