gold star for USAHOF

Art Monk headlines new College Football HOF Class

Although we do not yet rank those not in the College Football Hall of Fame, we would like to congratulate this year's class.

The class is headed by Art Monk, a current Pro Football Hall of Famer and star receiver at Syracuse.   Monk is not the only Pro Football Hall of Famer dually elected, as he is joined by Dave Casper; the offensive linemen of the two time Super Bowl Champion Oakland Raiders and collegiatly at Notre Dame.

This class also features former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, Steve Bartkowski who excelled at California.  Ty Detmer of BYU was a second QB added.

Jonathan Ogden was also named to the class of 2012.  Ogden, who played at UCLA is also now eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and he will be a high ranking when we unveil our next list in the upcoming weeks.

Other inductees include Tommy Kramer (Rice), Charles Alexander (LSU), Otis Armstrong (Purdue), Hal Bedsoe (USC), John Wooten (Colorado), Mark Simoneau (Kansas State), Gabe Rivera (Texas Tech), Greg Myers (Colorado State) and Scott Thomas (Air Force).

Jimmy Johnson and Philip Fulmer were also elected based on their coaching record.

We again congratulate all members of the College Football Hall of Fame class of 2012.
