Not in Hall of Fame News

“I don’t want to be a belong to any club that will accept me as a member.” Ok, that Groucho Marx quote isn’t exactly accurate, but Steve Miller still isn’t happy about being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. As we discussed previously, Miller was quite vocal about his distaste for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony, of which he was finally inducted after a long wait.  Miller infamously railed on the Hall at the post ceremony press conference but on the Howard Stern Show, he had a lot more to say: “It's gonna get…

We owe all of you a sincere apology As much as we have been working hard to update our lists as quickly as possible, we recognize that our NASCAR list has slid and is about a year behind. Make that two. The NASCAR Hall of Fame has announced the 2017 Hall of Fame Class and they are as follows: Richard Childress, a former owner who had Dale Earnhardt on his roster. Mark Martin, who won 40 races on the Sprint Cup Circuit. Raymond Parks, a former owner who won the first Modified Title in 1948. Benny Parsons, the 1973 Sprint…
Every year, we here at Notinhalloffame.com champion former Montreal Expos Outfielder, Tim Raines, as a bona fide Baseball Hall of Famer. This past week, Raines was in Chicago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of U.S. Cellular Field and was the most optimistic he has ever been for the Baseball Hall of Fame despite entering his tenth and final year of eligibility.  Raines had the following to say: "This is probably the first year out of the nine years that I've been on the ballot that I really, really feel like I have a chance…I think about it a lot more…
You can always count on Slipknot’s Corey Taylor for speaking his mind, so when Loudwire asked him his thoughts on the Gene Simmons/N.W.A. controversy, you have to know that he would not skirt the issue. He had the following to say: “I see what Gene's saying, and, you know, I'm old-school guy as well; I get it. But at the same time, the more I look at what N.W.A. did, man, I mean, they influenced me, and I'm a rock and roll guy. So how do they not deserve to be in there? To me, bands like that, bands like…
The New England Patriots have announced that former Running Back, Kevin Faulk will become the newest member of their franchise’s Hall of Fame.  Faulk won the fan vote over Cornerback, Raymond Clayborn and Linebacker, Mike Vrabel. Drafted in the Second Round of the 1999 Class out of LSU, the back would spend his entire thirteen year NFL career with the New England Patriots.  While Faulk was never a Pro Bowler, he was a dependable backfield player who pounded his way to 3,607 Yards and 3,701 Yards from Receptions.  Overall, Faulk accumulated 33 Touchdowns. Faulk also has three Super Bowl Rings…
This should be a major coup for the Black College Football Hall of Fame. It was announced today that the Black College Hall of Fame will land in Canton, Ohio in 2019 as part of the latter’s vast renovation.  Spearheaded by Doug Williams and James Harris, two Grambling alumni, the Black College Football Hall of Fame was founded by 2009, and will soon be a Hall within a Hall.  It had been speculated that the original locale would have been Atlanta, Georgia, a perfect spot as this has been where they have held all of their inauguration galas, but with…
While the UFC does not have a physical Hall of Fame as of yet, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are very much in favor of the Hall’s direction, which was instituted last year.  This process sees inductees chosen based in the following categories: The Pioneer Era: Specific to those who began their careers before November 17, 2000, when the current rules were largely put into place, is 35 years old and has been retired for at least one year. The Modern Era: Specific to those who have turned pro after November 17, 2000. The Contributors Wing: Specific for non-fighters. Fight Wing:…

This is interesting. Today TMZ asked Stephanie McMahon whether the recently deceased Joanie Laurer (Chyna) would ever get into the WWE Hall of Fame.  Her answer alluded to a strong possibility that the “9th Wonder of the World” will enter the Hall: “I’m SURE that we will see Chyna in the Hall of Fame at some point in the future. I’m not sure exactly what year that will be, but there’s no denying her contributions to WWE.” As known by most of you, the history between Stephanie and Laurer is a personal one as Stephanie’s husband, Jean Levesque (Triple H),…
