Country music legend, Loreta Lynn, passed away at the age of 90.

Lynn made headway in the Country scene as an earnest independent woman who was proud of her working-class Kentucky roots and unafraid to call out inequities.  It resonated with many young women, appealed to lyricists and Lynn was a trailblazer who wrote most of her own hits.

Lynn did not become a success until she was 30, Lynn had eight number ones on the Country Charts with five more as a duet with Conway Twitty.  Her life was made into award-winning film, “Coal Miner’s Daughter”, which saw the woman her portrayed her, Sissy Spacek, winning the Best Actress Oscar in 1980.

Lynn was selected for the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to the fans, family and friends of Loretta Lynn.

Yes, we know that this is taking a while!

As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present our post 2021/22 revision of our top Boston Bruins.

As for all of our top 50 players in hockey we look at the following:

1.  Advanced Statistics.

2.  Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National Hockey League.

3.  Playoff accomplishments.

4.  Their overall impact on the team and other intangibles not reflected in a stat sheet.

Last year, the Bruins made the playoffs but were bounced in the first round.  Despite the length of Boston’s existence, there were three changes on the list.

As always, we present our top five, which had no changes:

1. Bobby Orr

2. Eddie Shore

3. Ray Bourque

4. Phil Esposito

5. Milt Schmidt

You can find the entire list here.

Patrice Bergeron climbs into the top ten, with the five-time Frank J. Selke Trophy winner moving up from #13.

Three-time All-Star, Brad Marchand, rocketed to #14 from #24.

Former First Team All-Star, David Pastrnak moved up five spots to #32.

We welcome your input and comments and as always, we thank you for your support.

We lost a legend in the world of professional wrestling as Antonio Inoki passed away at age of 79.

Inoki was a pupil of Rikidozan in the early 60s and a decade later he was the top wrestler in Japan and the promotor of New Japan Pro Wrestling, which was and still is one of the biggest organizations in the world.  Holding wins over every major name in his day, Inoki was not just a 12-time World champion, but a true international superstar who sold out arenas all across the world.

An early pioneer of mixed martial arts, Inoki’s fight with Muhammad Ali was a precursor (although it was an awful contest) of what would come.  He also became a politician, successfully winning a seat in the Japanese House of Councillors, and he successfully negotiated the release of Japanese hostages from Saddam Hussein in Iraq.  Inoki also was a proponent of using wrestling and sports to promote global harmony, as how by his multiple World Wrestling Peace Festivals.

Inoki was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to extend our condolences to the fans, family and friends of Antonio Inoki.
