We don’t know when the National Hockey League will resume play in the 2012-13 Season, but we do know when notinhalloffame.com will redo our Hockey 100 for consideration to the Hall of Fame. That answer is today.

Last year, four of our top ten (including our #1, Joe Sakic) was selected to join the immortals in Toronto. As such, we had to come up with a new number one selection and find spaces for a very solid group of eligible hockey players who are now eligible for the Hall.

The always controversial Don Cherry has reclaimed his spot atop of the heap. The man whose two minutes a week dominates Canadian airwaves. The likable (or detested) Cherry would certainly make for an exciting induction speech.

The second slot goes to our highest rated newcomer, Chris Chelios. The three time Stanley Cup Champion and three time Norris Trophy winner is a strong contender to enter the Hall on his first ballot. Should he fail to enter the Hall in 2013, our bet is that the popular American blueliner won’t have to wait long.

Sergei Makarov drops to the third hole. The Soviet born forward may not have had a stellar NHL career, but he was the best Russian player in the 80’s in a time when they were International juggernauts. The Hockey Hall of Fame is designed to honor all hockey accomplishments, and not just that of the NHL. Regardless of that, Makarov has received little to no buzz about being a Hall of Fame inductee.

Brendan Shanahan was considered by many pundits to be the biggest snub last year. The NHL’s head disciplinarian has however been in the news more often than almost any other ex-player as his current role keeps him constantly in press releases. Shanahan moves up to number four.

Another first time entry and former Norris Trophy winner, Scott Niedermayer takes hold of the fifth spot. The talented defenseman is also has multiple Stanley Cup rings and could conceivably enter in the first year. The remainder of the top ten includes Pat Burns, Jeremy Roenick, Eric Lindros, Dave Andreychuk and Theoren Fleury.

New entries include:

15.   Rob Blake

27.   Keith Tkachuk

30.   Sergei Zubov

34.   Markus Naslund

40.   Rod Brind’ Amour

All of these entries are up and are waiting for your votes and opinions. Check them out!

Our growth continues as we here at notinhalloffame.com are proud to unveil the list of candidates for the 2023 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  As always it is an eclectic list with multiple acts covering multiple genres.  They are as follows:

As we grow, Notinhalloffame continues to look at new ways in which we can spread our message. As such, we have launched our official YouTube channel. Our first three videos feature a countdown show; but not just any countdown!

We look specifically at the WWE List and the top 100 who are not in the WWE Hall of Fame. It is one thing if we here at Notinhalloffame do a video breaking down the list; it is quite another if someone ON the list does it for us!

Our good friend, Chavo “Classic” Guerrero Sr. is a legend in wrestling. His list of championships is endless and it is virtually impossible for anyone to matter in wrestling without having wrestled a member of the Guerrero family. Chavo walks through the entire list and shares his memories of interacting with these greats, be it in the ring or backstage. Chavo is very blunt with his opinions and we appreciate the candid nature in which he took this project. We say with all sincerity that there was nobody better to kick off our YouTube Channel than with Chavo Guerrero Sr.

Check them out, and see if you agree with “Classic”

The Football Hall of Fame has announced their two Senior Nominees, and again controversy reigns in Canton. The first nominee is Curley Culp, who was a Defensive Tackle who captured six Pro Bowls for the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers. The undersized Culp, was the Defensive Player of the Year in 1975 and was First Team All Pro that year. He is joined by Dave Robinson, who was a three time Pro Bowl Linebacker for the Green Bay Packers on their first two Super Bowl Teams.

With all due respect to the aforementioned, this again leaves our number one (on our NIHOF Football list), Jerry Kramer again snubbed. Our regular visitors know that we have had the opportunity to speak with Kramer who may have been the classiest person we ever spoke too. As Robinson was a teammate of Kramer, we find his nomination a little curious, but we are hopeful that one day Canton will do the right thing for Jerry Kramer. Unfortunately, it wasn’t today.
