Irv Blitzer
An American did coach the Jamaican Bobsled Team in 1988, but he didn’t win the Gold in 68 nor was he disqualified in 72. The real coach was also not disgraced and became as obese as….let’s say…John Candy.

Regardless, Candy is a comedic legend and was hired to present a contrast to the Jamaicans bobsledders in a family friendly way. It was not Candy’s funniest role, but he delivered what was needed.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Cool Runnings (1993)

Actor:
John Candy

Role Portrayed:
Coach of the Jamaican Bobsled Team

Why you should vote for him:
It is a way to honor Candy.

Why you should not vote for him:
He was a reluctant mentor, and there are better coaches on the ballot.

Helen "Mama" Boucher

Mama Boucher
We can’t say that this really stretched the skills of Kathy Bates, but we will forever remember the way “Mama” Boucher forbade her son to play “Foosball”.

Heather & Dawn

Heather and Dawn
They were strippers turned cheerleaders who incorporated a bit of their lesbian show work into their routine. Honestly, do we have to say any more?

Hayden Fox

Hayden Fox
Hayden Fox had to be the hardest working coach in Division One Football history. We say this, as he saddled himself with the two dumbest assistants of all time, and can’t imagine he received any serious help from those two imbeciles….or maybe he got help from the assistant coaches who appeared as extras.

We will say that the show “Coach” did focus a lot on football related storylines (which we liked), and we remember Fox’s trickery in winning the Pineapple Bowl, holding his star player until late in the game. He also was the National Champion as a Coach, and though he was again paired with morons for a team, you actually believed that Craig T. Nelson was in fact smart enough and tough enough to bring Minnesota State to the Promised Land.   Though, my God, could he not have picked better assistants?

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Coach (1989-97)

Actor:
Craig T. Nelson

Role Portrayed:
Head Coach for Minnesota State

Why you should vote for him:
He did win the National Championship.

Why you should not vote for him:
His choice of team personnel HAS to be questioned.
