The Exits

Exits The
We all know that if you are a musician, you get girls. The great thing about that formula is that you can be ugly as sin and it still works; just ask Ric Ocasek. The young stars of Boy Meets World, created a band called the Exits to impress girls (naturally), which works…until they are asked to actually perform.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Boy Meets World (1994)

Actors:
Ben Savage (Cory Matthews)
Rider Strong (Shawn Patrick Hunter)

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Isn’t it funny how a show that wasn’t deep at all, actually had a sizable following, and is thought about in high regard?

Why you should not vote for them:
They couldn’t play.

The Evolution Revolution

Evolution Revolution The
From the strange live action chimpanzee (yes, you read that right) you have a show that seems to only be possible to have occurred the year after Woodstock. Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp was about a chimpanzee that was also a spy who also was part of a band. Basically, the producers had the chimps dress up and made dialogue from the actions.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp (1970-71)

Actors:
A bunch of chimpanzees. Actual singing voice was Steve Hoffman.

Fictitious Band:
Lancelot Link (Guitar)
Mata Hairi (Tambourine)
Bananas Marmoset (Drums)
Sweetwater Gibbons (Organ)

Songs you might remember:
Wild Dreams, Jelly Beans

Why you should vote for them:
Musically, they sound better than half of the acts on this ballot.

Why you should not vote for them:
How about because these are Chimpanzees?

Everyone Gets Laid

Everyone Gets Laid
This may be our favorite fictitious band name ever. We did not see that much of this band (and we could argue that George Clinton upstaged them) but we do have a soft spot for this brand of College humor. As PCU was essentially a love it or hate it movie, we are sure we aren’t the only ones who have a soft spot for this flick, and thus by proxy, this band.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
PCU (1994)

Actors:
Gale Mayron (Cecilia)
Matt Ross (Raji)
Stivi Paskoski (Deege)
Megan Ward (Katy)

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Just for the band name alone.

Why you should not vote for them:
They were not exactly the most (or even close) to being the most memorable part of the movie.

Eugene Martone

Eugene Martone
Putting Ralph Macchio on the Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame ballot (for his work in the Karate Kid Series) was not a problem for us, but we were struggling whether to include him for his incomplete effort in “Crossroads”. As struggling Blues musician, Eugene Martone, we had a hard time buying him as anyone who even heard a Blues record, let alone someone who could score with an in her prime, Jami Gertz. We aren’t even going to tell you what we think of him defeating Steve Vai at the end in a guitar duel.
