God's Cock

Gods Cock
From the Mike Judge film, Extract, we learn of a Metal band named “God’s Cock”, of which one of the factory workers, is a member of.  At the end of the film, we see them play in a backyard and are instantly reminded that the guy who gave us Beavis and Butthead did this film.

The Gnats

Gnats The
Possibly the worst fictitious band on the ballot, the Gnats comprised of the four male castaways on Gilligan’s Island. In this episode they sing (although unintelligibly) as the Gnats in a bizarre attempt to get the Mosquitoes (a Beatles rip off who was stranded there) to take them off the island. As bizarre as it sounds, only on this show can it make perfect logical sense. Sometimes, it is best not to think about it and just enjoy Gilligan on the drums.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Gilligan’s Island (1965)

Actors:
Bob Denver (Gilligan, Drums)
Alan Hale Jr. (The Skipper, “Guitar”)
Jim Backus (Thurston Howell III, “Guitar”)
Russell Johnson (The Professor, “Guitar”)

Songs you might remember:
We are not really sure what they were trying to sing.

Why you should vote for them:
Only because this is Gilligan!

Why you should not vote for them:
They were absolutely terrible!

Global Heresy

Global Heresy
From the film of the same name, we have the film that might have marked the end of Alicia Silverstone’s hotness. Playing (badly) a replacement for a bass player who has gone missing in a top band, Silverstone’s character helps the band to refocus as they are tucked away in a British mansion that they rented; which is staffed by the uptight owners who are trying to avoid the perception of their impending bankruptcy. Oh, the hilarity!

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Global Heresy (2002)

Actors:
Alicia Silverstone (Nat)
…and we don’t care who else.

Songs you might remember:
Throw Me A Line

Why you should vote for them:
They were set up as the top act on the planet.

Why you should not vote for them:
Alicia Silverstone in a band?   This is about as believable as her playing Bat Girl.

The Ghetto Avenue Boys

Ghetto Avenue Boys The
When the boys form a Boy Band group, Randy Marsh forbade his son Stan to be part of it. Apparently, Randy was in a Boy Band himself where he anchored the Ghetto Avenue Boys, who had a top hit with “You’ve Got It”. The band was dissolved after their producer turned their attention to a new group; The Avenue Ghetto Street Boys, forcing Marsh back home a broken man. At least he got his return in Fingerbang!

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
South Park (2000)

Actor:
Trey Parker
Matt Stone

The Fictitious Band
Randy Marsh
And four other unknown people

Songs you might remember:
You’ve Got It

Why you should vote for them:
We will argue that Randy Marsh is the unsung MVP of South Park.

Why you should not vote for them:
Like most fictitious Boy Bands, they were not very good.
