Happy Kyne and his Mirthmakers
The house band on the satire Talk Show, Fernwood 2 Night, Happy Kyne and the Mirthmakers were out of touch, horrible, and unfunny; which made them perfect for this send up of the Talk Show format. The bandleader was played by Frank De Vol, who was known mostly for the multitude of TV Show themes he created in the 60’s and 70’s.   Incidentally, despite leading the Mirthmaker and being named “Happy”, we did not often see the beloved bandleader in a good disposition.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Fernwood 2 Night (1977)

Actors:
Frank DeVol (Happy Kyne)
We don’t know who else made the band.

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Yes they were bad, but so deliberately bad, it was great!

Why you should not vote for them:
One of the members has an accordion. That is enough for us.

Hannah Montana

Hannah Montana
Hannah Montana launched Miley Cyrus from Billy Ray’s daughter to International Superstar and if you are to judge your fictitious singers by success, it is hard to ignore this candidate. Actually, we would say it is near impossible.

Consider that this is one of the most successful television shows ever made by Disney that it had numerous hit albums, generated profitable tours and featured Montana performing often should make it a great candidate. We can’t say that the music was great, but it was what it needed to be. Besides, we bet that everyone who came to our website knows who Hannah Montana is, whether they can name a song of hers or not. That is one powerful fictitious singer!

The Bullet Points:
TV Show and Movies Appeared:
Hannah Montana (2006-11)
Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009)

Actor:
Miley Cyrus

Songs you might remember:
The Best of Both Worlds

Why you should vote for her:
It does not get more successful than this.

Why you should not vote for her:
Much like the actual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, success should not be a prerequisite to enter the Fictitious Athlete Hall of Fame.

Hangman's Joke

Hangmans Joke
In what was Brandon Lee’s best and final film, The Crow was a dark and brooding film with an amazing soundtrack. Before he turned into the “Crow” we had a brief glimpse of his musical career, as he was the lead guitarist for Hangman’s Joke, which was explored more in the seldom seen TV Series. Does this deserve an entry? Probably not, but this was a very good film, so we are throwing it a bone here.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
The Crow (1994)

Actors:
Brandon Lee

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
The Crow was a very unique film, and it still resonates today.

Why you should not vote for them:
Music was a big part of this film, but not from Hangman’s Joke.

Handful of Peter

Handful of Peter
Inspired by a local talent show, Peter and Lois Griffin elect to resurrect their old folk duo. They remembered themselves as brilliant, and thought that is what they recaptured. Unfortunately, they also adopted their old practice of doing drugs before their performances, and the end result was the two of them wailing incomprehensibly.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Family Guy (2006)

Actors:
Seth McFarlane (Peter Griffin)
Alex Borstein (Lois Griffin)

Songs you might remember:
Noble Indian Chief/Do Her

Why you should vote for them:
Anything Family Guy related is always good for a laugh.

Why you should not vote for them:
They were very bad.
