263. Fugees

The Fugees have been called a one album wonder, and that is a statement that bears a bit of truth as their debut album in 1994 was not popular nor was it that critically acclaimed.  However, the album that was considered to be that one album of greatness (The Score) was a brilliant effort that was amongst the best that Hip Hop had to offer.

It was Jazz Rap brilliance that crossed over to multiple audiences and still is considered a landmark.   With that said, despite the solo accomplishments of Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, the potential amalgamation of their work still might see them on the wrong side of the bubble, but we could be wrong.
