Brie Bella Retires

Not in Hall of Fame
Although it did not receive that much attention, one half of the Bella Twins, Brie, wrestled her last match in the five woman tag team match at the Wrestlemania 32 pre-show.

Bella, who is married to the also recently retired Daniel Bryan, announced that she is retiring from the WWE and will be focusing on starting a family with her husband.

So, does that mean when we revise our rankings that Brie will make the list?

Not just yet.

With all due respect to Brie, who was a former two time WWE Diva’s Champion, she will always be associated with her twin sister, Nikki, who is also a two time Diva’s Champion who is also a two time champion and is currently recovering from neck surgery.  While it has been speculated that Nikki may be forced to retire, she has announced through social media that she intends to come back and if she does, by proxy, the legacy of the Bella Twins will continue.

The prevailing opinion is that Nikki’s in ring skill surpassed that of her sister and both of them of did show significant improvement from where they were predominantly eye candy for RAW guest hosts.  Still, despite any future accomplishment that Nikki Bella may accrue, the likelihood of the Bellas entering the WWE Hall of Fame separately isn’t strong.

As such, and with the twins only being in their early 30’s, we will not rank Brie Bella just yet and will be creating a profile for Brie and Nikki in our WWE Futures.

Look for our WWE Revisions next month, and as always we welcome your input.
