How this man is not in the hall of fame yet is beyond me. Its unfortunate that he was on the Oilers right after they broke up, Chicago after being in the finals, the kings before they were in the finals, the rangers also right before they won it, and the Devils right before they won it. Bernie Nicholls was involved in the resurgence of many amazing teams and also was involved in some of the last great runs for teams who had been great for years. The 92 Oilers weren't given a chance in hell to be a good team, and they nearly got to the finals with no Gretz or Messier because of how good Bernie was. in 93 and 94 the devils finally became a contender and everyone knows how close they were to the finals. Again Bernie was great, not as many points but +24 on a new team in 61 games in 94, and then back to back better than a point per game seasons on Chicago, and again, close to the finals! He was so great in his whole career, nobody should ever say Gretzky is the only reason he was great!
