I have known Lee Roy Jordan personally since we both were on the football team at Excel ----I also knew all of his family---The y were a farming family and hard work was their normal way of life--I am totally impressed with Lee Roy's football history, but I am more impressed with the way he has lived his life and how he has shared his fame and fortune to help so many others---If ever anyone should be in the Hall of Fame it would be Lee Roy Jordan---His rise to Fame could never be considered only because he was an outstanding football player, but the way he has managed his life---Max Shumack
