Five guys sound like a chorus of thousands!!! The genius of Boston cannot be understated! To me the best rock music was during that era. I miss it all the time. Why Boston is not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is beyond reasoning. It is disgusting that so many talented bands as Boston have been overlooked. Supernatural band talent and pure voice of Brad Delp with no electronic overlay. Rock Hall needs to get its act together and quit lowering the bar allowing low-level talent to get in. Do the Right thing and put Boston in!!! Brad Delp, one of the greatest voices of all time. Not only is the music great, but there is tons of glorious analog compression and limiting all over this recording. pump pump pump. The bass melodies are audible, the drums pop, the guitars shimmer, the voice is crystal clear...what more could you want?!? Brad Delp had the voice and Tom Scholz had the sound.

To coin a song phrase...."D on't Look Back!",
Boston was a top band of their genre which
I call power pop more than arena rock or corporate rock.
Those labels aren't fair anyways. If Journey and Cheap
Trick can go in with catchy hooks, soaring harmonies
and great guitar leads, I say Boston can go too!
Others in this genre include Foreigner, Styx, and REO
Speedwagon whom I hope all get in too someday.
Good luck Boston!

Sorry just like the baseball player who retires two years short and doesn't put up the milestones in Homers, Wins, RBI etc. Boston does not deserve it for one insanely popular debut album, a poorly received follow up one and a (ten years later) "oh yeah them" effort. Sorry not a large enough body of work

Are you freaking kidding me? This is 2017 and since 1976, there hasn't been 1 day go by that I haven't heard Boston on an AM station, an FM station, or satellite radio. The original Boston will ALWAYS be remembered as well as their 1st and 2nd albums. These guys went for quality over quantity. There are too many bands now in the HOF who simply put out music because it was required of their contracts. They didn't give a crap about the quality. Don't believe it.....get in your vehicle, play "More than a feeling", crank the volume all the way up from start to finish, and try to say with a straight face that Boston didn't kick ass!!!

Their first two albums were staples on AOR/classic rock radio for at least ten years. And Scholz deserves credit for the production on their guitars -- their sound was a revelation back in 1976!
