Not in Hall of Fame News

Tonight on Monday Night Raw, the WWE has announced their latest entry into what we consider to be the best Hall of Fame Class ever. Current Smackdown General Manager, Booker T. Booker is a multi-time champion in WCW and the WWE and held the World Championship in both promotions. Although Booker T still looks like he could compete on a regular basis, he is nearing the age of 50, and looks to be ceasing hi in ring career. We applaud the WWE for this induction and congratulate Booker T, and we can dig that! Sucka!

Well…..Tommy John is kind of going to be honoured by the Baseball Hall of Fame…..sort of.   In this years (lack of starstudded) Baseball Hall of Fame ceremony, Dr, Frank Jobe will be honoured for his work, prolonging the careers of many baseball pitchers. You may be more aware of him for the development of “Tommy John” surgery; which was initially performed on the aforementioned hurler in 1974.That year, John was diagnosed with a ruptured MCL on his left elbow. Dr. Jobe attempted what was then a radical procedure by removing a tendon from John’s forearm and repairing the elbow. The…
The Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced that Motown Records Founder, Berry Gordy will be honoured with the Pioneer Award at this year’s Award night. This is the second year of the Award’s existence, as last year it was given posthumously to Woody Guthrie. The Award was established to “honor the career of a historic creator of an extensive body of musical work that has been a major influence on generations of songwriters”. That label has to apply to Berry Gordy, who pioneered a genre that gave countless African American musicians and songwriters their start. We congratulate Berry Gordy on…
Our work on the existing Hockey Hall of Fame Classes continue. We have now made our way to the exciting year of 1968. You may have noticed that we here at Notinhalloffame.com have gone a bit Hollywood.   As we expand our repertoire of content, we have added a few new sections that celebrate the silver screen.Pioneered by our music blogger (Live Music Head), we have added a “Classic Movie Reviews” where many of the great films of the past are receiving another look. We anticipate a lot of fun with this section, as we think that this fits perfectly into what we are hoping our website will grow into. As such, we have added a new blogger, Jack Ferdman, who will not only…
We here at Notinhalloffame.com will continue our new tradition at reporting the actions of each major franchises’ respective Hall of Fame. It is part of a long range plan to eventually look at each team in the four major North American sports. The New Orleans Saints have announced a new addition to their Hall of Fame. The Saints are coming off a disappointing season, and long-time fans remember the awful seasons where they were known collectively around the League as the “Aints”. However, they are three years removed from a Super Bowl, and the Saints have had an overall good…
Our work on the existing Hockey Hall of Fame Classes continue. We have now made our way to the exciting year of 1967. This is the year that doubled the size of teams in the National Hockey League and shrunk the size of Hall of Fame induction classes. There were only three members of this class, and from here on in, the classes would remain relatively small. The Class of 1967 contained: Harry OliverNeil ColvilleTurk BrodaGang you know the drill. Check it out, and cast your votes and let us know whether you think they deserved their Hall of Fame…

RIP: Paul Bearer

WWE.Com has reported that long time performer; Paul Bearer has passed away at the age of 58. Born William Moody, Bearer first gained significant traction as a wrestling manager named, Percival Pringle III in WCCW and later the USWA. He would move to the then named World Wrestling Federation, and adopted the Paul Bearer name as the manager of the Undertaker in early 1991.It was a perfect fit, as Moody was actually a licensed mortician, and he played the creepy manager perfectly. Bearer would manage the Undertaker for five years, before turning on him at Summer Slam 96 and aligning…
