gold star for USAHOF

Not in Hall of Fame News

The Football Hall of Fame has narrowed down their selections to fifteen finalists, many of which hold high ranks on our football list. In order of our rank, the candidates are 2. Curtis Martin, 3. Will Shields, 4. Willie Roaf, 5. Cris Carter, 6. Cortez Kennedy, 9. Dermontti Dawson, 13. Tim Brown, 14. Jerome Bettis, 15. Andre Reed, 16. Chris Doleman, 19. Charles Haley, 23. Aeneas Williams and 45. Kevin Green. Also up are Bill Parcells and Edward DiBartolo Jr. In addition there are two senior candidates in Dick Stanfel and Jack Butler. Notable omissions to us were Don Coryell…
In his final game for the Miami Dolphins, Jason Taylor went out a winner. The Linebacker ended his career with some impressive numbers. Taylor was selected to the Pro Bowl six times, a Three Time First Team All Pro, a member of the 2000's All Decade Team and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2006. This loaded resume should place him high on our list when he is eligible, but he may not stay there long as this is Canton worthy.
Gang..... After a very long wait, we are thrilled to announce our first Basketball List. It was not an easy one, as followers of the Basketball Hall of Fame know that they factor in both the pro and college game. Our list takes that into consideration, but focuses primarily on male players. We hope you likje it, and take time to cast your votes!
We aren't kidding with that headline either....... Look at this group.... Jeremy RoenickMats SundinJoe SakicCurtis JosephBrendan ShanahanOlaf KolzigTeppo Numminen Gary RobertsClaude LemieuxBobby Holik Roenick, Sundin and Sakic are certified HOF contenders and the others could earn a spot on our list. We are working on our revisions soon..... Any thoughts gang?

Peja Stojakovic retires.

The NBA lost another superstar as sharpshooter, Peja Stojakovic has retired. At the age of 34, the Croatian leaves professional basketball as a three time All Star, and a three time European Player of the Year. He finishes with a 17 point career average and .401 career percentage from the three point line. We aren't sure if he is a Hall of Famer, but we think a case could be made.
Gang.....we here at Notinhalloffame would like to gather some opinion from you all. Now granted, this is what we do on a regular basis, but we want to get our 2012 list up faster than we have in the past. As such, there are some interesting names who are now eligible for the Rock Hall and we want to hear from you what rank you are thinking before we make our final selections. The following artists are now eligible: Boogie Down Productions D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince EPMD George Michael Gloria Estefan (sans Miami Sound Machine) The Goo…
So much for the new generation. In an announcement that shocked us here at notinhalloffame, National League MVP, Ryan Braun has tested positive for a PED and will be suspended for fifty games next season. Winning a Most Valuable Player Award can be a catalyst for a Hall of Fame slot, but despite being only in the first half of his career, how can we expect any shot for him now with Cooperstown keeping McGwire and Palmeiro out; with the likely trnd occuring for Clemens, Bonds and Sosa? This is a huge disappointment for baseball.
It won't be long before we unveil our first Basketball list, of which we are most looking forward to. With that said, we are thinking of the sudden retirement of Brandon Roy, who only five years ago was the NBA Rookie of the Year. Roy was the star of the Portland Trail Blazers and was a three time All Star. The Shooting Guard also made a Second Team ALL NBA Squad and was the centerpiece of the Blazers team. Roy would twice average over twenty points a season, but his final year (only his fifth) would see him miss many…
Gang..... Our Christmas Day is here..... The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have announced their selections for this year's class, and the selections to us, really don't come as a surprise. We will take a look at this group based on our rankings and give a few random (which is what we do best) thoughts on the selections. Selected: 5. The Red Hot Chili Peppers The Peppers should have got into on their first year of eligibilty, and it was only a matter of time for them to get in. When they were nominated this year, many (including us)…
It is with great joy that we have learned that Ron Santo was selected by the Veterans Committee to become the latest entrant to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Santo received the necessary percentage to enter, but many (including us) have wondered why it took so long. Statistically, Ron Santo was already there, and had the resume of other third basemen who were already inducted. Santo, passed away earlier this year, and it s quite likely that it took this wave of emotion to sweep him into Cooperstown. Regardless, that it was years too late, we are thrilled with this…
