Not in Hall of Fame News

We here at Notinhalloffame.com will continue our new tradition at reporting the actions of each major franchises’ respective Hall of Fame. It is part of a long range plan to eventually look at each team in the four major North American sports. The New Orleans Saints have announced a new addition to their Hall of Fame. The Saints are coming off a disappointing season, and long-time fans remember the awful seasons where they were known collectively around the League as the “Aints”. However, they are three years removed from a Super Bowl, and the Saints have had an overall good…

WWE.Com has reported that long time performer; Paul Bearer has passed away at the age of 58. Born William Moody, Bearer first gained significant traction as a wrestling manager named, Percival Pringle III in WCCW and later the USWA. He would move to the then named World Wrestling Federation, and adopted the Paul Bearer name as the manager of the Undertaker in early 1991.It was a perfect fit, as Moody was actually a licensed mortician, and he played the creepy manager perfectly. Bearer would manage the Undertaker for five years, before turning on him at Summer Slam 96 and aligning…

We may have to plan another trip to Cleveland. On May 24, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will open a new exhibit dedicated to the “Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World”. “Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction” will encompass two and half floors of the Cleveland based Hall, and will be open until March of 2014. The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Hall back in 1989, and may have performed more concerts than any other five inducted acts combined. The WWE has announced its latest entrant to the WWE Hall of Fame, and the defacto member of this year’s celebrity wing.   Billionaire, Donald Trump will be entering the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2013.   Trump hosted Wrestlemania IV and V at his Atlantic City casino, and he made an appearance at Wrestlemania VII in the crowd.   Of greater note, the star of NBC’s “The Apprentice” appeared at Wrestlemania XXIII in the corner of Bobby Lashley, who took on Umaga, with Vince McMahon in his corner. The loser (which of course was McMahon) had his head shaved.   Trump as…

Although we focus musically on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we thought it would be pertinent to mention that the Songwriters Hall of Fame have announced their latest inductions. Many members of the Class of 2013 will be familiar to Rock fans. The class is headlined by Steve Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. We are trying to remember Tyler from the “Dream On” days, as opposed to the androgynous looking former judge of American Idol. Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. The two Aerosmith members are joined by Tony Hatch, the…
