One of the most important pioneers of music has passed away from cancer in Florian Schneider, the co-founder of the German group, Kraftwerk. He was 73 Years old. Schneider co-founded Kraftwerk with Ralf Hutter in 1970, and he stayed with the group until 2008.  The German quartet are credited with pushing the boundaries of electronic music, which set sonic blueprints for many genres that followed.   When people heard Kraftwerk for the first time in the 1970s, it was unlike anything they had hear before.  The music was cold and robotic, but it pulled you in a trance-like state. Countless musicians cite Kraftwerk as an…

RIP: Don Shula

It is a very dark day in the football world as it was announced that legendary coach, Don Shula passed away peacefully at his home yesterday. He was 90 years old. Shula played seven seasons in the National Football League (1951-57) at Defensive Back with Cleveland, Baltimore and Washington.  Like many former players, he moved into coaching, first as the Defensive Coordinator for Detroit (1960-62), and then he took over as the Head Coach for Baltimore, where he compiled a 71-23-4 record and took them to Super Bowl III, where they were upset by the New York Jets. The Miami Dolphins coveted…
Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  That being said, we have existing Top 50 lists out and we always consistently look to update them when we can and based on necessity.  As such, we are very happy to present the fourth revision of our top 50 Washington Nationals of all-time. As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:  1.  Advanced Statistics. 2. Traditional statistics and how they finished in the National League. 3. Playoff…

The new members are: Andrew DeClercq, Men’s Basketball  (1991-95).  DeClerq was a member of the Florida’s 1994 Final Four Team, and he…
Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  We have a new one to unveil today, that of the Seattle Mariners.  Entering the American League as an expansion team in 1977, the Seattle Mariners have had a lot of great players, but despite that, they are the only team to have never appeared in the World Series.   As for all of our top 50 players in baseball we look at the following:  1.  Advanced Statistics. 2.  Traditional statistics and how they…
We have another significant retirement in the world of the National Football League, although many people outside of the New England fan base might understand why this is the case. James Develin, the New England Patriots’ Fullback has announced his retirement through a post on his Instagram.  He had this to say: “Due to unforeseen complications with the injury that ended my season last year, I have decided it is both in my and my family's best interest to retire from the game of football.  I've always maintained a belief that in the sport, the team is MUCH more important than myself…
Yes, we know that this is taking a while! As many of you know, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are slowly generating the 50 of each major North American sports team.  We have a new one to unveil today, that of the Oakland Athletics.  The Athletics were a charter member of the American League in 1901 when they were located in Philadelphia. While they played on the East Coast, they were owned and ran by Connie Mack, who had his share of success and failures.  When they were good, they boasted Hall of Fame players like Lefty Grove, Chief Bender and Jimmie Foxx, and…
The World Golf Hall of Fame announced what appears to be the final inductee for the Class of 2021 in Susie Maxwell Berning.  She joins Tiger Woods, Tim Finchem and Marion Hollins. Berning went pro in 1964 where she won the LPGA Rookie of the Year, and a year later, she won her first tournament.  Berning won 11 LPGA events in total, including three U.S. Women’s Opens (1968, 1972 & 1973).  This brings the total of inductees to 164. We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate all four of the impending members of the 2021 World Golf Hall of Fame.
Hall of Fame related lists are at the forefront of what we do. Hell, it is in the name of our site; Notinhalloffame.com! The problem (or actually our perpetual joy) is that we have to continuously revise lists, most of them annually.  With the ones in reference to the main Halls of Fame, we try to tackle the revisions immediately.  With that in mind, we are pleased to have our new Notinhalloffame.com Basketball list of those to consider for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Before we get into it, please note that this list only covers the male candidates.  We may look at…
A couple of weeks ago, the World Golf Hall of Fame announced that Tiger Woods would be going into their Hall in the Class of 2021.  At the time of that proclamation, he was the only name announced, and we speculated if it would be a solo class.  In the last forty years, if there was any golfer who could be worthy as a sole representative, it is Woods.  The Golf Hall, who relaxed their 50-year-old minimum threshold, to 45 years of age, recently, likely did so that they could induct Woods five years early, so if the entire day was to be…
