Deerhoof

Many critics may have loved the Avant Garde band, Deerhoof, but Noise Rock such as this and a long lasting legacy is not exactly hand in hand. As such, Deerhoof was a very interesting Noise Rock band, but this is far from a Hall of Fame act, and we sure that this band knows it as well. 

Death in Vegas

Led by one of England’s top DJs, Richard Fearless, Death in Vegas modeled his project with a pounding Big Beat sound, though the progression of their work constantly incorporates other Rock and Roll elements. Continuing to make albums and produce for other artists, Fearless’ talent is unquestionable, but like so many we speak of on this site, there is no hope for an act that failed to get American penetration.  

545. Creed

Creed sold a ton of records in the late 90’s and were initially filled a void for many in a post Grunge world. It was a bit of a Catch 22 for the band as though they had a similar guitar sound, they were without the angst and brooding of their Seattle forefathers. As such they were panned by critics and trashed on the information superhighway. Regardless, that did not stop impressive record sales and though critically despised bands don’t enter the Hall, they can retire with large bank accounts.  

Children of Bodom

Heavy Metal and well-rounded general don’t go together, but there is a strong case that can be made for the Finnish group, Children of Bodom, who string together the various elements of the hard hitting genre with ease. Lately, they have slowly begun making inroads to the United States, but as we constantly say about Metal acts in regards to Cleveland…...
