As far as we know, the all girl group of the three girls of Saved by the Bell lasted only one episode, but the memories of Jessie Spano succumbing to the pressures of being a future “Showgirl” live on with us forever. Fans of the show (and we sheepishly admit we are ones) will never forget Elizabeth Berkley singing, “I’m So Excited” during her breakdown. Now kids, what did we learn from that? The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: Saved by the Bell (1990) Actors: Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) Tiffany Amber-Thiessen (Kelly Kapowski) Lark Voorhies (Lisa Turtle) Songs you might remember: I’m So Excited Go For It Why you should vote for them: Only for the cheese factor, it is through the roof here. Why you should not vote for them: They were actually really bad. {youtube}

From Cheech & Chong’s 1981 film, “Nice Dreams” we have a scene where Chong is mistaken for Jerry Garcia and is presented with a band to try to promote. That group is the all-female outfit called the “Hot Rollers” who all have names based on hair colors. That’s about all we remember from this one. The Bullet Points: Movie Appeared: Nice Dreams (1981) Actors: Cheryl Smith (Brunetta) Linnea Quiqley (Auburnetta) Debbie Tressler (Platinum) Haydee Pomar (Ash) Jennifer Child (Dishwater) Songs you might remember: None Why you should vote for them: Well, they were attractive. Why you should not vote for them: They didn’t really play did they? Honestly, we can’t remember. {youtube}

In a mini storyline arc we forgot about, Drew Carey and his pals reform their old band, the Horndogs, which played some gigs at their local watering hole, The Warsaw Tavern. The Horndogs would actually attempt to take it to the next level (with a bit of help by Joe Walsh), and Drew even got a groupie, but at the end of the day he decided that it would be more beneficial for him to stay working at the department store. Frankly, there is something about Drew Carey: Rock Star that we were struggling with anyway, though the montage where they were auditioning guitarists might make this group worth a look; even with Carey as the front man. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: The Drew Carey Show (1996-97) Actors: Drew Carey (Drew Carey) Diedrich Bader (Oswald Lee Harvey) Ryan Stiles (Lewis Kiniski) Joe Walsh (Ed) Songs you might remember: None Why you should vote for them: Joe Walsh was in this band at one point. Having the coolest Eagle in your band is a major plus. Why you should not vote for them: With all due respect to Drew Carey, picturing him in a band in any capacity doesn’t seem real. {youtube}

Spoofing the horrible Super Bowl Half Time shows that was disgustingly sweet and vomit inducing (though they actually appeared four times at the big game), “Up With People” was a Half Time show during a Super Bowl episode that Homer Simpson watched in the big game that his daughter helped him bet on. They would make a return at Duff Gardens, complete with all of their cheese intact, though we did miss their tribute to the Western Hemisphere. The Bullet Points: TV Show Appeared: The Simpsons (1990 & 1993) Actors: We aren’t really sure who did the voices. Let’s assume the usual. Songs you might remember: Get Dancin’ Why you should vote for them: This was a decent parody. Why you should not vote for them: They were awful, and parodying the worst Halftime act in Super Bowl history. {youtube}
