C. C. Bloom

C.C. Bloom
From the sapfest 1988 film, Beaches, we have Bette Midler as C.C. Bloom, an aspiring actress and singer who eventually made it big. The film spans decades, so we do see her rise, but realistically, this film is about her relationship with her best friend (played by Barbara Hershey), and Midler’s singing career is far secondary to that. Still, this generated one of the biggest hits ever in “Wind Beneath My Wings”, and that alone could propel this to a possible induction.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Beaches (1988)

Actor:
Bette Midler

Songs you might remember:
Wind Beneath My Wings

Why you should vote for her:
Midler again showcases that great singing voice; and there was a major hit from this film.

Why you should not vote for her:
We wager that if you are a male, you hated this film.

Burned Beyond Recognition

Burned Beyond Recognition
Another entry we admit we had no real business putting on the ballot, Burned Beyond Recognition was never seen, nor heard but were the focus of a Married With Children episode where the two sibling Bud and Kelly waited in line to purchase tickets for. We know this about the group; that they were a Heavy Metal band who urinate on their audience members.

As true with this show, the Bundy children fail to get a ticket (the person in front of them got the last one) and their parents (Al & Peg) go to the concert after winning them from the Rick Dees Radio show.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Married with Children (1994)

Actors:
None

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for them:
Is urinating on the crowd a reason?

Why you should not vote for them:
You never did see them….or hear them!

The Bugaloos

Bugaloos The
A somewhat bizarre creation from the Sid and Marty Kroft (though weren’t they all?), the Bugaloos were a seventeen episode series that featured a musical group who lived in “Tranquility Forest”. They wore insect themed outfits and had the ability to fly, which means….well, we have no idea. Either way, this was hot for a brief moment, which is enough to get them on our ballot.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
The Bugaloos (1970-72)

Actors:
Wayne Laryea (Harmony, a Bumblebee)
John Philpott (Courage, a Ladybug)
Caroline Ellis (Joy, a Butterfly)
John McIndoe (I.Q., a Grasshopper)

Songs you might remember:
If you become a Bugaloo

Why you should vote for them:
Only, if you were a devotee of the show.

Why you should not vote for them:
This was a very strange show.

Bud Eagle

Bud Eagle
Seriously, this was drive in camp at its best. In “Wild Guitar” we had Bud Eagle who arrived in Hollywood with his pompadour, a guitar and attitude, looking for a break in the music industry. With illogical plots and cheesy dialogue, that is what happens, but sometimes a film is so corny you can’t help but watch, and that is what we have here.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Wild Guitar (1962)

Actor:
Arch Hall Jr.

Songs you might remember:
Vickie

Why you should vote for him:
This is B-Movie best.

Why you should not vote for him:
B-Movie best may not be what is worth looking for here.
