Charlie Waffles

Charlie Waffles
Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) was an alcoholic womanizer on Two and a Half Men and we loved every minute of it! One of the times that we laughed out loudest was when the man who made his living doing commercial jingles, found that there was a lot of money to be made as a children’s singer; hence we have “Charlie Waffles” who didn’t sound like any kids singer we remember! We actually wish that this persona made more appearances, if for no other reason than to hear those songs again!

Elvis Presley joins a travelling carnival where…he finds a way to sing. Everything that happens in this film is straight from the textbook of Elvis filmmaking 101. Frankly, we thought this was awful, but again there are many who loved everything that Presley ever did.

Loosely based on a French play from 1910, Rock-A-Doodle was an animated box office bomb with the main character being a rooster who becomes a musical sensation in the mode of Elvis Presley. Sadly for the creator, Don Bluth, this triggered a string of failures, but we did like Glen Campbell’s voice as the rooster in question. At least it wasn’t a total loss.

The Bullet Points:
Movie Appeared:
Rock-A-Doodle (1991)

Actor:
Glen Campbell

Songs you might remember:
Sun Do Shine

Why you should vote for him:
The voice of Glen Campbell was well cast.

Why you should not vote for him:
This film was not very good.

In what was a real stretch for Liberace, he played a flamboyant concert pianist (who happened to have an evil twin brother) in the campy Batman show in the 1960’s. We do have to wonder why they had to create an evil twin scenario and not just have Liberace play the villain only; not that it really matters.

The Bullet Points:
TV Show Appeared:
Batman (1996)

Actor:
Liberace

Songs you might remember:
None

Why you should vote for him:
If you base a vote on cheese, it is hard to do better.

Why you should not vote for him:
Why should a campy concert pianist be in any Hall of Fame?
