You can always count on Slipknot’s Corey Taylor for speaking his mind, so when Loudwire asked him his thoughts on the Gene Simmons/N.W.A. controversy, you have to know that he would not skirt the issue.

He had the following to say:

“I see what Gene's saying, and, you know, I'm old-school guy as well; I get it. But at the same time, the more I look at what N.W.A. did, man, I mean, they influenced me, and I'm a rock and roll guy. So how do they not deserve to be in there? To me, bands like that, bands like RUN–D.M.C., it's a different type of band, but it's a band, man. I mean, that's straight up. So I can see both sides of it."

"I have bigger problems with the Hall Of Fame than some of the people who have gone in. Mine has more to do with the fact that until this year, CHEAP TRICK and DEEP PURPLE weren't in. That, to me, is disrespectful on a whole other level. Does N.W.A. deserve to be in. You're goddamn right they do. But did CHEAP TRICK and DEEP PURPLE deserve to be in years before they got in? You're damn right they did. So that whole organization needs to figure out who they're gonna honor and when, because there are still bands right now who aren't in that should be."

Simmons had previously criticized the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for inducting N.W.A. and other hip-hop acts as they were not “Rock and Roll”.

Now are we done talking about this?

Probably not.

The New England Patriots have announced that former Running Back, Kevin Faulk will become the newest member of their franchise’s Hall of Fame.  Faulk won the fan vote over Cornerback, Raymond Clayborn and Linebacker, Mike Vrabel.

Drafted in the Second Round of the 1999 Class out of LSU, the back would spend his entire thirteen year NFL career with the New England Patriots.  While Faulk was never a Pro Bowler, he was a dependable backfield player who pounded his way to 3,607 Yards and 3,701 Yards from Receptions.  Overall, Faulk accumulated 33 Touchdowns.

Faulk also has three Super Bowl Rings and over 5,000 Return Yards.  He is still in the top 100 all-time in All-Purpose Yards.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate Kevin Faulk for making the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.

This should be a major coup for the Black College Football Hall of Fame.

It was announced today that the Black College Hall of Fame will land in Canton, Ohio in 2019 as part of the latter’s vast renovation.

Spearheaded by Doug Williams and James Harris, two Grambling alumni, the Black College Football Hall of Fame was founded by 2009, and will soon be a Hall within a Hall.  It had been speculated that the original locale would have been Atlanta, Georgia, a perfect spot as this has been where they have held all of their inauguration galas, but with this move to Canton, traffic would be much larger and give them far more exposure than they could have ever hoped to receive.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate the Black College Hall of Fame in what certainly is a golden opportunity.

While the UFC does not have a physical Hall of Fame as of yet, we here at Notinhalloffame.com are very much in favor of the Hall’s direction, which was instituted last year.  This process sees inductees chosen based in the following categories:

The Pioneer Era: Specific to those who began their careers before November 17, 2000, when the current rules were largely put into place, is 35 years old and has been retired for at least one year.

The Modern Era: Specific to those who have turned pro after November 17, 2000.

The Contributors Wing: Specific for non-fighters.

Fight Wing: This is for a legendary fight, which has to have take place prior to July 10, 2011.

With this in mind, the UFC is now staggering their announcements (brilliant) to generate more buzz for their Hall of Fame and last night at UFC 198, the 2016 Pioneer Era inductee was announced.

Entering the UFC Hall of Fame is Brazilian, jiu-jitsu specialist, Antonio, Rodrigo Nogueira, more commonly known as “Minotauro”.

Nogueira was a staple of the Japanese Pride Promotion and in 2001 he would become their first Heavyweight Champion, a title he would hold for nearly two years.  He would make his UFC debut in 2007, defeating Heath Herring and would later become the interim UFC Heavyweight Champion.

He retired with a record of 34-10, was the Wrestling Observer Fighter of the Year in 2002 and is already in the Sherdog and MMA.Freak.com Hall of Fame.

We here at Notinhalloffame.com would like to congratulate Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira for receiving this accolade!
