DeMarco Murray did well in his first two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys but he would have a breakout season in 2013 when he went to his first Pro Bowl and rushed for over 1,000 Yards and had 53 Receptions. Murray would then explode in 2014 with the greatest season of his year as he maximized being the Running Back for one of the top Offensive Lines in the NFL and had league leading 1,845 Rushing Yards, 13 Touchdowns and 2,261 Yards from Scrimmage. He was named a First Team All Pro and the AP Offensive Player of the Year.
DeAngelo Hall came with lofty expectation as the 2004 8th Overall Pick from Virginia Tech and in the first few years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons he did not disappoint. Hall was a Pro Bowl Selection for Atlanta in both 2005 and 2006 and he would be traded to Oakland before the 2008 season. It was a terrible fit for both and he was released and promptly picked up by the Washington Redskins where he would be “DeAngelo Hall” again.
Danny Woodhead would set the NCAA single season rushing record at tiny Chadron State when he went for 2,756 Yards and the following year, he would break the all-time NCAA record (though since broken) for Rushing Yards. These accomplishments garnered him the Halton Hill Trophy those two years, which was annually given to the best player in Division II.
