Arthur Alexander was an early pioneer melding Country and Soul. This interesting combination allowed for some of the most heartfelt recordings ever put on vinyl. Although his work was considered beautiful, it struggled to find an audience outside the established music community. He may have spawned a new style of music, but it took others to bring his sound to an audience. Alexander never received a lot of fame or fortune, but the fame may arrive on some level with an induction to the Hall. Considering those who found him influential, this “unknown” actually has a shot. We know that Al Bundy is pulling for him….ten points if you get the reference!
