The Road Warriors are in the WWE Hall of Fame!

What A Rush!

Now we're talking.  After a few suspect announcements for the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame Class, our highest rated Tag Team, The Road Warriors have been announced to the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2011.   We had them ranked at #4, which makes two of top 10 (along with #3 selection, Shawn Michaels) selected this year.   We were worried about this class....we are not anymore.

Bruno won't do it. Owen's widow won't allow it. Backlund asked them to wait until he knows for sure he's done, he wants one more comeback.
You can't blame them for their take on Benoit.

I was wondering why LOD wasn't in yet, it's about time! Now, if we can do something about the rest...Backl und, Bruno, Owen, etc. I won't mention Benoit, though. I've given up on that ever happening!

The HOF coincides with Wrestlemania , thei largest event. It's kind of like HOF weekend for Football and Baseball, with the HOF,a fan fest and the actual Wrestlemania event. They choose a new HOF'er each week the few weeks leading up to Wrestlemania . It's all about build-up to the actual event, as it has been for years with wrestling.
There is no rhyme or reason for how they select the HOFers. They have a celebrity selection whom everyone seems to hate, one big headliner and a group of "qualif ied" folks who I guess is on their turn.

Marketing yes.... but they don't trot out the new Hall of Famer at each arena.

General Question for someone who does not follow the WWE Process basically at all:

Why the heck to they announce the nominees this way? Is it simply a marketing thing as in a way to bring out one Hall of Famer at each arena they visit?
