So are we done? Do we think we have a respectable top 30 in there somewhere? Or do we need another 10 just to be sure?

WrestleManias 2, 4, 9, 11, and 15 seemed to have escaped our list.

In terms of matches, Mania 9 just did not deliver. Benching Randy Savage was a mistake. But in terms of concept, I loved the idea of the togas and ancient Rome. The arena looked like it was in a parking lot though.

Mania 2 was just a bad concept mixed with boring matches. They shouldn't have been hopping from city to city. The best match on that card was JYD & Santana vs the Funks. A bit underrated.

Mania 4 was a concept that just doesn't work for Mania...and now we know why. Way too many uninteresting filler matches. Too many dq's and countouts. Just meh.

Mania 11 felt like WWE was dying. A shell of its former self.

Mania 15 is hilarious in that WWE was so good at the entertainment side of things, but not as great on match delivery.

I don't mind a tournament being on pay per view, but I perhaps it's better served for Survivor Series or a lesser event.

As for Mania 9, they should have had Taker verus Bam Bam Bigelow. Instead poor Bam Bam, Kamala, and Slick got left off the card due to time constraints.

They could have put Savage against Bret Hart, Yokozuna, or Shawn Michaels. But sticking him at the commentator booth was ridiculous.



So how should we start narrowing down to the top 30 Mania matches? Just write our lists and compare?

Yokozuna scared me when I was young. Like Andre the Giant, only with Japanese discipline and a bigger ass. Having in the main event was fine with me but I agree he shouldn't have been facing Bret Hart.


I think I've narrowed it down to a top 30 from that 50. Should we just both start with our number one? See where we stand with that first?

Yeah. I've got a long weekend ahead of me here. I might be slow on my reply.
