48. Eric Wright

An All Big-8 Selection at Missouri, Eric Wright was taken by the San Francisco 49ers in the Second Round of the 1981 Draft.

Wright was part of an ascending 49ers team that would win their first Super Bowl the year he was drafted.  He was their starting Right Cornerback that year, and he would gradually improve, to where he led the NFL in Interception Return Yards in 1983 and went to the Pro Bowl in both 1984 and 1985.  Wright's 1985 season was so good that he was a First Team All-Pro that year, and his 20 in Approximate Value was good enough for second overall.

That was the end of his peak as a groin injury held him to only four Games over the next two seasons, and while he was healthy in 1988, he was no longer the same player.  Wright played two more years in San Francisco as a role player and locker room leader.

While he was not necessarily a force in all of them, Wright is a four-time Super Bowl Champion with San Francisco.  Not too many people can say that.
