It is so unfortunate that some of the Russian players, as talented as they were, just were not taken in by the fans. Zubov was one of the best offensive defenseman of the 90's and 00's and very few were better than him during his years from the blueline. He's the kind of player who I could see it taking a long time to get in, but in the future when the era he played in is overall more forgotton and historical, he will stand out as one of the best players with one of the best careers to not be in. We look at guys from the 70's and 80's and assume most of the great players from back then, and beyond, have got in already. And the ones who haven't are small in numbers and all have some kind of arguments against them. Zubov 20 years from now, if he still is not in, might become one of those cases people start bringing up and argueing again. Hopefully by then his hall of fame career will be recognized!
