Thome debuted for Cleveland in 1991, but it was not until 1994 where he was a permanent fixture in the Indians lineup. That year he hit 20 Home Runs, beginning a nine-year streak hitting that mark for the team, with the last seven seeing him blast 30. His apex was 52, which he did in 2002, and that would be a career-high. Thome also had six 100 RBI years, four top-ten MVP finishes in Cleveland, and a Slugging Title (2002).
After 2002, he signed with Philadelphia, and he would return to the North Shore for 21 Games in 2011. In addition to his 337 Home Runs for the Indians, Thome had 937 Runs Batted In with a Slash Line of .287/.414/.566.
Thome was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018, two years after he was enshrined to Cleveland's Hall of Fame. The Indians retired his number 25 in 2018.
