Perhaps a strange entry considering his relatively low tenure as a Cincinnati Red, Cy Seymour put together one of the finest and undervalued seasons in the early 1900’s.

Seymour would string a season in 1905 a season where he was tops in Batting Average, Doubles, Triples, Runs Batted In and Slugging Percentage which would have granted him the National League MVP had that existed at the time.  A Cincinnati Red for only five years, Cy Seymour still posted a spectacular .332 Batting Average with 738 Hits over his 556 Games there.  That alone granted him a slot here along with that incredible and forgotten 1905 run.

The Reds would eventually induct Seymour into their franchise Hall of Fame in 1998.
